Rejected by T-Mobile!

Roundly rejected by Carphone Warehouse to port my Vodafone number over to a T-Mobile contract.

In a fit of panic I paid £30 to sign up to Equifax and Experian. Experian says I have "excellent" credit and Equifax rates me as "Good", almost excellent.

The only individual thing that Equifax flagged was Ive been on the electoral role in the flat we we rent for less than 3 years. Surely they cant be that strict? I have contract phones with both Orange and Vodafone, never failed a check before.

Could it be because I already have two contracts with other providers?

Anyone else had problems getting a phone?

I've heard T-Mobile are notorious for being stupidly strict on credit checks. It could be that you already have 2 contracts, or that you rent.

Try calling T-Mbile direct they may be able to reconsider you perhaps.

Oh really? I dont really want to have another search so soon. I did email them to complain and they gave me an address in Hertfordshire to write to for an explanation. Not much help as itll take too long.

yes, me too, probs with O2 and the credit check which was laughable on their SIM only deals (lowest one) despite there being no credit risk from us other than that poxy 3 year rule (in our case not back in the UK for 3 years). Lost out on Dell credit for just that one reason too. Trouble is, you keep trying and it keeps pushing your credit score down! Try Vodafone, got on their SIM only deal and I think they use Experian.

same happened with me got rejected by o2 and virgin for no apparent reason,
they then asked me to send me experian report by fax to them to see there was no problem, i did so and o2 accepted.
