Disability Fraud, how to report it?

Hi, how on earth can you report an instance of disability fraud when the person claiming to be mentally unfit is a doctor, and his doctor friends are happily signing his sick notes? He isn't unfit but "medical opinion" seem sto reign supreme despite evidence otherwise. He has conducted a protracted court case himself and even a high court judge has said his mendacity is shocking and he represented himself after sacking 6 law firms in turn (after each law firm realised he was a total fraudster) using every loophole to get what he wanted. we already phoned the benefit fraud hotline but after sending in a copy of the judge's comments they did nothing and he's still not working and getting his free cash which entitleds him to legal aid. if anyone knows a step higher than the fraud hotline it may help bring an end to the chaos he is causing from having access to free lawyers (now on his 7th firm who have believed his stupid story, for how long I wonder:rolleyes:), thanking you for reading and any info

TBH, you're going to have a hard time. The only thing that could be used is video evidence. The DWP are obviously aware of what's going on and IMO, you've done all you can do.0

Why not just mind your own business and get on with your life? You personally do not know if he is "mentally ill" or not, and it's not up to you to decide or judge. Get a life0

It must be so annoying to see someone abuse the system and get away with it but without evidence there is very little you can do. What I can't understand is why a doctor would prefer to live on disabilty money when he could earn a lot more by working. It's great to be ALIVE!0

Why don't you get a life, troll
He doesnt work because he would rather not give anything via the CSA but thats right he would get much more if he worked. he isn't "mentally ill" as per the medical opinion of someone we commissioned but the DWP arent bothered about it for whatever reason. video evidence is a good point but again with this mental illness thing it's not going to prove much
I'd not be bothered normally but this directly affects us and its difficult to "get on with your life" when he is constant;y harrassing us and using his "illness" to stop any action (eg commital to prison) against him. Anyway it looks like there isnt much we can do, guess that is how it works, thanks to the 2 of you who replied nicely! 0 -
I would write to the DWP - they then have something in writing and should investigate. Try to keep the information factual and without malice - I sense you know this person (or should be the CSA recipient??) - if nothing is done write again....and again until they WILL action some sort of investigation.
It is OK for some to think "mind your own business" but when you see this happening under your nose and feel you cant do anything about it it must be so frustrating.I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes

Thanks for the reply, yes i am/should be the csa recipient (or was until last year due to age) we wrote to the fraud hotline already when they asked us to send in some stuff/evidence, but maybe DWP will see things differently, will give it a try, nothing to lose I guess!0

No seriously, you need to get a life then you wouldn't be so bitter about someone who is classed as mentally ill.0 -

how dare you, you have no idea what we are going through, i'm not 'bitter', i'm trying to get us out of the mess we are in thanks to this 'mentally ill' person who has already had over £15000 of legal funding all courtesy of the taxpayer while we have to pay for ours. he knows how to legally screw the welfare system and i think it is unfair.
With all due respect, i think it would be best if you left this thread alone for those who have been kind enough to reply constructively (i.e. everyone but you:rolleyes:). if not for this thread i would not have sent a letter to the dwp this morning as sarahlouise210 suggested. it is always nice to get a fresh take on things and a fresh perspective, I hope one day you will understand

To be fair we are only hearing one side of this so we do not know if his faking or not.0

The DWP always investigte when someone makes allegations be it by letter or phone regarding someones claim. That is what they told my son yesterday when someone made false allegations aginst him. That was because the person could not see what is wrong with his health they think he is not ill at all and should not be getting any money from DLA. Being ill is not something people choose just to get money from dwp.0
