Missing money from Cahoot

I hope someone can help.
I transferred £400 from my cahoot savings account to my halifax current account last Friday to change to Euros for my holiday on Sunday.
It should have been transferred yesterday, but there was no sign of it.
Have checked both accounts today and although my cahoot account has been debited, halifax say there is nothing going through clearing for that amount or for my account.
What do I do????? I have emailed cahoot but there isn't a phone number where I can talk to someone. I'm tearing my hair out - if I don't have any cash I can't go to France on Sunday.
What else can I do?

Inter-bank transfers are normally 4 or 5 working days, although this depends greatly on the banks involved of course. If it was an immediate transfer last friday, should be close to completing. If you entered a post-dated transfer (for 21/07) last friday, the 4-5 days will start from yesterday. Don't think there's much point in chasing Cahoot - get the transfer details (date, from a/c and sort code, to a/c and sort code) and call the Halifax. Dunno how their feeds to on-line accounts work, but possible that the transfer gas been received but the details not yet transferred on-line.
Do you really need to get (lots of) euros before you go? I know it's an extra cost to use your ATM card, but surely better than missing the hols?
Hope things work out - sorry I can't be more helpful.0 -
Hi ManatHome, thanks for your comments,
Cahoot ask you to name a date four working days in advance on which the transaction will be processed. Last Friday I named the first available date which was yesterday - it's always been to the minute the other times I've done it.
The girl at Halifax asked me to call Cahoot, which I did finding a number from https://www.saynoto0870.com and they were most unhelpful.
Basically although already a day late than their '4 day transfer' they are asking me to wait another 10 days 'to see if the money turns up'. The girl I spoke to couldn't have given a damn that I was leaving the country on Sunday.
I don't have any money in my account - that's what the transfer was for - to use my ATM card so now what!
They're quick enough to take your moeny but so bloody useless at giving it back!
If I don't go I lose £200 in pre-booked ferries and hotels. But I can't go if I can't pay for petrol and food.

Can't you borrow some cash of a friend or relative?Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Don't you have some money left on the Cahoot account? If no, you can use your £250 free overdraft. Just withdraw money from ATM and (if needed) deposit it to your Halifax account over a counter.
P.S. SORRY, I JUST REALISED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS WITH SAVING ACCOUNT0 -
Hi rchddap,
My Mum is already in £3k of debt and although I know she would lend it to me, she would borrow it off her card or something stupid like that - I'm trying to help her out not get her further in!
My OH who is coming with me is not currently earning - and this was supposed to be my treat for him which is all going pear shaped. We couldn't get a cheap flight anywhere, so we're borrowing his parents house as cheap accom and driving as ferry and petrol was going to be cheaper than flying.
I'm sure I can scrape together bits from a few people, but I'm a very proud person and bloody furious at Cahoot. I'm out of debt and didn't want to get back in for however short a while.
I just feel like screaming!

How can I withdraw more money from a Cahoot internet savings account? There is more money in there but it will take another 4 working days - at best next Thursday.0

have you double checked the account number and sort code that you type in to do the transfer in case you made a typo?0

No, no current account with cahoot.
I checked my transfer details on Tuesday - sortcode and account number all correct.
I'm calming down a bit now, but still bloody furious with the half-soaked girl at cahoot.

can you ask Halifax to give you an overdraft for that amount, even temporarily ?0
