Unknown number ?!?!? dialaphone

Hi

Hoping for some advice,
My wife tried to order a new mobile through dialaphone last week and it got refused which was fair enough, for various reasons. She was ordering a tmobile contract. When entering her details on the application, She had to enter her existing phone number, it asked specifically if it was tmobile.

A couple of days ago, she got a text saying "Thankyou for taking out an additional line, this is now active". When she looked at her tmobile account online, she found there was another number 'linked' to the account, and it looks like it has been used (couple of texts sent). She did not get any phone, and on the dialaphone site, it says the order was cancelled.

To get through to dialaphone are a nightmare! They have no CS number, just email, so we've sent them an email, just waiting for a call.

Do you think it will be easy to sort out?

The only way I've ever been able to get through to Dial-a-phone is by recorded delivery letter. Even the emails get answered by a "robot"!

You could call T-Mobile and explain what has happened - they should be able to help (although I have to say their appalling customer service is why I wouldn't touch T-Mobile with a barge pole!)

    E-mail them at cc@dialaphone.com

I have always had a reply from them within 2-3 days.

  • Hi

I have a 12 month contract with dial a phone,
I didn't receive the welcome pack,
and can't get a straight answer out of them,
but from gathering info on this website...

    1. Are the cash back intervals at
    6 months, 9 months and 12 months?

    2. Do we just post our original statements registered mail,
to the cashback address on their websites?

    Thanks
  • The saga continues!
dialaphone called today and said it wasn't their responsibility!! Wife told them it was because the line was setup by them, but they wouldn't have it.
Called Tmobile, who again said it was up to Dialaphone, but have now put a block on the line. Maybe the person who is using the phone will contact dialaphone and the company will put 2 and 2 together?!?

What I think has happened is during the initial application, dialaphone asked for proof of address. This was sent by fax to them. Sometime during this, they assigned a sim to her. Then they refused the application but didn't unregister the sim and sent it to someone else.

Looking at the call usage, it doesn't look like 'suspicious' usage, no long calls, premium texts.

Have had to send another email to dialaphone to get them to call again!
  • Maybe I was lucky but I had excellant CS from Dialaphone.
