vodafone's antics

10 months into an 18mth contract and Vodafone have started collecting my dd two days early - before payday.
I've just been charged £25 by my bank and Vodafone aren't playing at all for a refund.
My bank agreed the DD had been taken early and claimed it back.
I've written to the complaints dept at Vodaphone with copies of my bills and the letter detailing the charge.
If no joy I intend to take it up with OFCOM, who I spoke to today.
Just wondered if there's anything else I can do or if anyone else has had this experience?

Have you checked what it says on your bill? Does that say they are taking it 2 days early. ie mine says 'we will take the money on or after the 20th' so if they then took it on the 18th - i'd go mental and ask to speak to a manager!!Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...0

Hi Princess Jane,
I work for Vodafone and would like to help with this. I completely understand how annoying the bank charge must be; we should be able to get this all sorted for you.
If you fill in the Vodafone Online Contact Form, and include the code FIT135 in your message, your email will come straight to my team. I'll look into your account and see what I can do.
Have a nice evening,

Aw thanks that the most help I've had so far.
I went mental with the callhandler in complaints then felt really bad 'coz I worked in call centres for years.
I've even asked the consumer rights jouro on my paper to investigate as I am sooo mad.
The bills were dated the day they actually came out of the account, but as I'd always had my DD set up for the same day of the month for the last ten months I thought this was just because perhaps the DD fell on a Sat or Sun.
I just don't understand why Vodaphone have started taking the £ earlier. I changed my tariff in Feb but that doesn't explain Jan's c-up.DEBT FREE! Sep '08/£9,800 in Oct '06 :beer:0
