  • You are lucky to pay just £1 we went to Clumber Park and paid £5 on entry, thought it was the full entrance fee but no, it was just for parking!!!!! What a RIP OFF!
As we live abroad it is not worth joining so if we go again I will park outside the car park and walk in.

It's not too much to as. but a season pass for clumber would be good.

National trust properties now have the stickers to give out to members.

Go into a property, say you've just parked up and need a sticker. When asked for a card say you've left it in the car and will show it when you get back with the family to get it.

    ;-)

Trying (and lying) to save money by stitching up a charity isn't in the spirit of MSE!

Buy a membership from the equivalent New Zealand organisation, which is cheaper. They have a reciprocal agreement with English NT properties.

The reciprocal agreement doesn't extend to using NT car parks without having to pay.

The New Zealand NT is much cheaper.

However neither NZ nor Scottish NT members get free car parking at National Trust car parks (which is what this thread is about!)

As already posted its cheapest to join the New Zealand Historic Places Trust which then gives you free admission to the NT as well as the Scottish NT.

I effectively got my NT membership half price this June, think it's about £83 for a family of four. Found an offer on their site for 25% discount on membership price and then booked it through Topcashback where I got an additional £19.66 cash back on the fee I paid. Best thing I ever did, we've loved being out and about this summer and also used it widely when in Scotland on holiday recently.
