The same thought has occured to me when waiting in A&E, appaling that the NHS has come to this, what world do the politicians live in?

soolin, this is a very random thought, but if your dad served in the Armed Forces, is it worth asking the British Legion if they can make any recommendations? Many of their members must face similar problems.

Here's an example of one of the care agencies, no doubt most areas have them now.

As you can see they will accompany on hospital visits and will do urgent callouts.

Unfortunately dad was passed medically unfit part way through pilot training due to perforated ear drums and deafness so has no ties to the armed forces.

I am discussing my concerns with the care home and trying to resolve something so that I can book a holiday away for myself and my husband next month.
