Ebay Wedding Dresses

I am going to keep hold of them for a bit, while I see about getting anything back from the credit card, or in case she does email back offering a refund and wants the dresses returned. But if I hear nothing, I really do need to recoup some of this money if possible so will probably list them on ebay at some point yes.

I'm not too disheartened by having things made for me from ebay sellers though, I am currently discussing with a few about having my accessories made to my specifications (although all based in the UK so no language problems lol).

Hey Celtic have you got your dress yet? Mine arrived today...absolutely gorgeous but a couple of inches too small around the back...nooo! Hope I can lose a few inches and that its not just ribs! Unfortunately can't drop any of those!! Any updates honeypop?x

well, I looked at the feedback of the seller and they all seemed to arrive in about 3-4 weeks, so should be here in 2 weeks at the most.... hopefully... I can't wait to see it

Hi Sugared_honey. My dress left the country of origin on 12th July, and didn't reappear on the tracking till 18th @ Heathrow. Needless to say I was getting into a tizzy by this stage!

If mine is too narrow at the back, I think I'll need to get a scalpel out and a hoover to perform emergency liposuction AND rib removal.

My biggest fear is that it won't fit and I'm left running around the shops @ the last minute. Dammit when did time start speeding up?? I had ages to go the last time I looked - now it's not even a month

Having said that I am now getting nights where I wake up in a blind panic that I've forgotten something important...

Have you thought of having an insert made of similar material, or to give a bit more room for any lacing up that needs done?

Oh let us know when it arrives, Im sure it will be perfect ...Not long now...hows the nerves? Mine are terrible!

Not really any update, just that they acknowledge that what I received is not what I ordered but they will not refund anything and it is basically tough luck, they won't enter into any further correspondence about it! Really poor show I think.
I contacted my credit card and they said it isn't the first dispute they've had to raise against Landy Bridal, I have to send them copies of all the emails I sent detailing what I was asking to be made and the emails where I say it's wrong and they agree but say they won't do anything about it, and they will file a claim and hopefully I'll receive something back in some way. Although I previously heard lots of good stuff about the company, now this has happened I'm hearing more and more bad reviews, and now the credit card company say they have heard from people who had refunds refused too.

I know you've been burnt now but have you thought about giving Milly Bridal a go? I had a dress made by them and the zip bust at the first try on and they even gave me some money back to get it fixed over here.

Hi

I am really interested in EBay Wedding Dresses.

Can those of you that have done this give me some hints and tips

How long does it take for the dress to be made
If I go into a Bridal shop and try on different styles do I need to get a pattern of the particular dress to send with my order
How do you know the quality of the dress material that will be used.
Can you recommend Ebay shops that I should investigate.
I live in NW London, can anyone recommend good bridal shops for fittings etc. Someone said Watford is good.

my dress from Landy is out for delivery today. I've got to leave the house in about 20 mins - guarantee it'll turn up 5 mins after I've left.....:o
