ok here's the photos of the dress.
I am not 100% happy with it, its not very well fitted and mum is going to have to adjust it. They've cut quite a few corners but i suppose thats how they make them cheaper.
Once mum's adjusted it it should be fine :)

That looks gorgeous, and I think it will look better with a underskirt thingy with hoops :D

Took some pics if anyone wants to see...

    Second Dress

You can see the difference from the first dress to this one, in the ones where I lay them side by side. The bust is now beads instead of embroidery but the side detail is missing on the new one. Also, you can see how the beads are a bit too large and give it a 'bobbly' appearance.

As I say, it isn't terrible but still not what they agreed to, and the fit is awful. I honestly regret getting my dresses made here, I did lots of research into feedback on the dresses people had already received from Landy and everyone said they were great, but now it seems most people say they were just 'ok' when they arrived. I did get my bridesmaids dresses from her too, and they are simply 'alright', I don't have the time or energy to get different ones now. The thing is with those, I saw them listed with a different chinese ebay seller for cheaper, but asked Landy to make them as I heard her quality was fantastic and she charged more for them, I wish I'd had them made by the original seller for the lower price, especially as they might have been made better.

But it is a bargain for the price and you do save a lot of money compared to the originals, so I think you just need to take a chance on what you'll get.

i think both dresses are lovely however its you that has to wear them so find the exact one you want, is it a maggie design? they have lots of originals on ebay so maybe get one of those?

Thanks for the comments about my dress!:) me and mum going to adjust it weekend after next when we have the house to ourselves!:) also going to sew the pleats a little better so that they stay at the moment they only have one or 2 small stiches and i can see them ripping!Lol

Also do you think it would be difficult for me 2 sew little pearl beads on it? or more of the lace? was thinking it would be nice to have someting on the train.

Katie, Im so glad you are happy, I cant see the pic as photobucket is down atm :( ... Im sure it is fabulous though :D

Honeypot...I have to say the first time I tried my dress on I was just ok with it, But...I had a useless bra on, no petticoat/underskirt, It wasnt done up right..and to be honest I just didnt look like the size 0 model wearing the original :p .... I seriously think I spent weeks and weeks looking at that original picture and somehow imagined that is how I was going to look, But im not a size 0, infact at a size 24 ish im very far from it!!...
Having purchased the right bra, underskirt, a dressmaker showing my sister how to lace the corset, and minor adjustment to the straps I am 100000 percent happy, I feel like a princess, thats a feeling I never dreamed of achieving:o...When my dressmaker had the dress she commented on the quality of material, and was actually quite shocked at how well it was made
Im sorry Landy hasn't performed for you, I must say IMHO I think your first dress looked amazing, Maybe you have been caught up the way I was in an original dress that costs quadruple the price??
Im so glad you have found a standby, Because no matter what I or anyone says, you need to feel like a princess on the day...And im sure you will xxx

On a lighter note..... My B'ms dresses are now awaiting customs charging as of 10 pm last night :D
Has yours left customs yet Dizzyt??

If you're classing me as one of the people that said it was ok - there was nothing wrong with my dress at all it was my underwear that was at fault :rotfl:.

No no!! Having spoken to people on other forums about the dresses, everyone seemed to say how brilliant they were when they arrived (spurring me on to get mine) and now that I say some of the things that were wrong, some of these same people then say things like "oh yeah, mine wasn't exactly what I wanted when it arrived, I just got used to it" etc.

Lol don't worry. Mine's lovely but I would be the first to admit that dresses are really not my thing. In fact the last time I wore a proper dress was when I got married the first time :rotfl:.

OH is going to be so shocked when he sees me - wouldn't be surprised if he checks for jeans underneath it.

Just off to check mine is still there.........................:p
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

I agree with the others. Get the creases out, get a petticoat and the right underwear and it'll be perfect. And think of all that ££ you've saved!
