I've got to say that they've done a really decent job so far.
I've asked them to tweak a few things though. I've asked them to put more material across the stomach and ruche it like in my original design: http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l22/amyarmayip/Hayleyhybrid.jpg as I think my tummy is my problem area and I'd like to hide it as much as poss. Also I'd like the skirt to be a bit more nipped in at the knees to make it more mermaid.
So far, I'm very happy with the service!0 -

OMG I am sooooo glad I found this thread!! I was really cheky the other day and went to a proper bridal shop to try on the dresses. I found this mori lee dress (2106) that made my best friend cry. Made me look foxy!! But the price tag was a little.....EXTORTIONATE!!! (£800, and that was with a discount for closing down)
I was wondering about ordering one of the Chinese copies, but was worried about the quality. Reading this thread has made me feel so much better about it. I'm getting wed on July 5th, so better get a wriggle on!
Question - when I tried the dress on in the shop, they didn;t make me put on any extra underwera, petticoat etc. Will I need to get something like this with the copy, or does it come exactly like the designer version? This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
Current Pay Off Target : £1500 :mad:0 -
I think sometimes they have less boning and things in, best thing to do is find the seller with the dress style you like and email them...
Just jumping slightly on the band wagon,... This is my Matron of Honour's dress. Ordered it about a week and a half ago after much emailing backwards and forwards. She's having it made with a really dark midnight blue colour instead of black. She's a little older than the other bridesmaids (by about 40 years lol) so pale blue really wouldn't do. I probably wouldn't of ordered it if it hadn't been for this thread, am still a little nervous as it's a seller that nobody else has used but she fell so much in love with the dress...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hiya, I forgot about this thread for a while, but found it again while browsing around! I also ordered my dress from a Chinese seller off eBay. It was a mock of a Maggie Sottero dress. I would give it about a 7-8/10. The seller was very responsive and helpful and always prompt answering my e-mails. The dress was done on time and came reasonable quickly in the post.
The quality is NOT designer, but I'm okay with that. If you look really close, of course you can tell it's a knock-off. The structure of the dress is about 90% on the original design...there are slight differences, but just slight ones and they are superficial. Of course, some of the more complicated aspects of the pattern aren't in the finished dress. The only thing I find 'obvious' is the train is SQUARE, which looks a big amateur-ish to me.
However, I'm happy. I paid £130 for a £800 pattern...it came quick and it fits me well (get a corseted back...very forgiving!!). Sure, it doesn't have the intricate beading all over the back, but who cares? I'll probably sell it on when my wedding's over and it feels pretty - good enough for me!I'm a happy customer, though I do tell all those out there to CHOOSE A SELLER WITH PLENTY OF GOOD FEEDBACK. Mine had 200+, but there's some with almost 1000!

Hi everyone,
Sorry I have not been on sooner but I have been working,
Well my dress arrived very swiftly on Thursday morning by TNT and as I was signing for it, I thought there is no way I am going to like it as it was a tiny packet, how is a whole wedding dress going to be in there, Anyway had to wait for OH to be out of the house before I could open it, but like everyone has said before I took it out of pack and it just kept coming.
The dress is absolutely beautiful, I could not believe how nice it looks, the colour is perfect, just like what I wanted and she has copied the designers dress perfectly all apart from a some beading at the top on the back, I am still amazed at how little I paid for it and it has come so perfectly.
I have since had one try on (sorry I will get pic but the batteries had run out on the digital camera, timing or what, I will be trying on again in the week so will have some then) and there are a few alterations needed, it is to long so will need alittle off of the bottom or I will be tripping on it, this also might be due to the hoop I got does'nt seem very good, so may have to buy another one and i may need it taken in because the lace up back was done up to its tightest so if I lost anymore weight it would'nt fit properly.
I would say anyone thinking of getting a dress from china, go for it, I would never of been able to afford a proper wedding dress as we really don't have that sort of money, this was the only way for and I am so glad that I found this forum, it really made my mind up as I was very doubtful, just for reference for everyone I got my dress through asapbay on ebay but I just sent her the link to the designers website as she didnt have my dress on ebay, she is lovely and always answers within 48 hours. I tried the original of my dress on in two shops before ordering from asapbay, and I would say the only thing that is different is it is not as rigid and boned as the original at the top, nothing that a good bit of underwear wont sort out.
Thanks for the support of everyone on here, I am so relieve now just to have it and know it is as great as I wanted it to be, and hopefully will get those pics this week. xx0
