I wanna find offers on baby milk

I would give bf a try, but if it doesn't work then it doesn't matter. i wish i had learnt that with my lo- i though i was horrible mother giving her formula- but now i look back on it and think i was horrible for not providing enough milk and letting her drop so much weight. Anyway, i used aptamil for my lo as its supposed to be the closest to b milk, now she is on Farley's at 6 months as its so much cheaper! and i don't think it matters as much now she is on 3 meals a day. Sign up for all the baby clubs you can- at as many addresses then your daughter can get milk/shopping really cheap (if your supermarket will take them- my asda does) HTH0

Just to let you know that it is cheaper to buy milk from a supermarket than from Boots the Chemist.0

Hi, she could do breast/bottle so that she gets a break between feeding. I was not keen on bf to start with but gave it a go andloved it. I did lose a lot of weight and found I got more of a rest (LOL).
I bf my daughter and she refused to take a bottle until she was about 11 months old (and then it was a neccesity as I was 6 months pg and could not get her on my bump, LOL) but with my son I introduced a bottle at a week so that I got a break in the evenings and so he felt more full and he fed better.
It is not for everyone but if she is worried about the time side then half/half would be no different to feeding one baby, plus it means someone else can give a bottle if she is going out/needs a break etc... I used Farleys for my son and and he preferred that - it as slightly cheaper as well.
PS. Yes, I agree about the bf while sleeping, you are not supposed to do it but I did nod off all the time, its hard not to!0 -
Hi, I agree that there are no offers ever on 6month and under baby milk as we went through quite a few different brands all at different prices with our little one only to end up with full unopened tins that the shops will not let you return as its policy everywhere due to health and safety. Unfortunately our little one was diagnosed with reflux at 4 months and fortunately had to have prescription milk which did save us a fortune but was a pain to prepare the formula!
So my advice, not every baby has the same milk as there are differences and it can be trial and error to find the one they are happy with so dont stock up on tins until you know you have found the right one!!!Wife/Mother of two gorgeous boys/Full-time A&E Coordinator/Home-start Support Worker/Open University Student/Wannabe Midwife = a busy yet fulfilled life!! :rotfl:0 -
wow, what a wonderful bonding experience I missed out on by not feeding my son while I was asleep!
Its also possible to get Dad to do the night feeds with a bottle which isn't possible with a breast!
Yes you're right it is a wonderful bonding experience you missed out on, having your little baby root for you to feed, even while you are both sleeping. It really is nature doing what it does best.
As for daddy feeding - expressing milk into a bottle is a great way to get daddy involved.0
