AMEX online banking problem

Since I got my american express card about a month ago I've not been able to access my online account. I phoned about it last week and was told it was a technical problem and would be resolved the next day (although the operator acknowledged that they had been told this was the case for several days and it still wasn't sorted). It still isn't working this morning. Are other people having this problem? And does anyone know if it's worth trying to negotiate an additional period of time at the 5% cashback rate as compensation. It is genuinely a hassle for me since I wanted to check whether some transactions had gone through....

Also if anyone has any idea when it might really be fixed this would be good to know too :)

Not here - I'm able to check my account.

my access is fine as well, from both work and home

what error are you getting (if any)
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... ;)
  • It just says that the service is not available right now and directs you to phone them. Although sometimes it also says the password is wrong (which I know for sure it isn't).

thats coincidental.... i had an issue with the password and extra info, it wouldnt accept them, so i had to go down the route of resetting the password and details, now its fine (nb this happened 2 weeks ago)

Hello I have exactly the same issue. I managed to register about two weeks ago but have been unable to access for about a week. When I phone, they say they are aware of the problem and are working on it. It is very annoying

  • I have had the same problem all week.

Phoned them up Weds and they said it would be sorted out soon. Still have the same problem.
  • I think I figured a way around my problem - I went in via the US site. I had been constantly having the error message from the UK site (even before I entered any info it apologised and wouldn't let me in) but with the US site I got straight in. Give it a try and see if it works for any of you...
  • after nearly three weeks of the AMEX Credit card web site not working, it has been fixed.

    Fantastic !! :j :j  :T
