GOOD LUCK!
I proposed to my lovely man back in November (couldn't wait till Feb!) & it was the best thing that I ever did!
I did it with lovehearts that said Marry Me
Just don't do what I did & have too much dutch courage!nothing to see here, move along...0 -
Good luck Little Miss!I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

True, but a public proposal, in a restaurant/night club/gathering of friends, wouldn't be my thing, or most of my friends which is why I brought it up.
It's a point worth thinking about, from both sides of the equation.
Will you OH want other people there?
Surely the OP wouldn't be considering it if she thought it was inappropriate for her other half? She knows that person the best & will have thought about all of these things already!nothing to see here, move along...0 -

THE DAY IS HERE!
Crikey, couldn;t sleep last night
Reet - heres the plan.
I'm off to get my hair done in 1/2 an hour, then decided I'd get a massage while there to relax me a bit (I'm sooooo wound up, with a flippy tum), then thought I'd best get a manicre to show my ring off...
Got my original ring from 17 years ago reset (with a bigger diamond, woohoo) and resized (pork sausage fingers) it cost 2x the original cost of the ring, but wanted to keep it for sentimental reasons, I'm picking it up after massage etc.
OH is at work till 6ish, his work mate is on strict instructions not to let him work over and call me when he's setting off home.
I've got champagne in the fridge and the Throntons chocs ready, along with a Haribo ring for him
So he's coming home, I'm going to do it then in private, hope he says yes and have a cab booked for 8pm, when we will go to a restaurant where there are 15 immediate family of ours waiting
He doesn't have a blinking clue!
If he says no though I'm up a certain creek without a method of propulsion.
Let you all know how it goes0 -
Good luck
Maybe you'd best have a code word to text to your waiting friends to let them know what he says? You don't want them to all shout "congratulations" as you walk in if he says "erm.....no" do you?0 -
Good Luck.:)
