The scar would need to be totally closed an dry. At 13 days it is still in a very early stage of healing. I have checked the instructions with the serum, and there are no warning whatsoever, about the age of the scar.
I have always found nature does the healing in the early stages, and require the help later. At your stage it's still called a wound, rather than a scar. Please take care.:A

Boots have a special information section on their expert products. CLICK for the link.
I have checked and there is no information on the scar serum.
I have contacted them and asked if they can update their site with information on the product asap.
I can't believe it, I have had a reply from Boots already. :T :T Only took them 20 mins to reply!!!
I suggested that they include some information on how soon after surgery the serum can be used. I have pasted it below for your information.....................
Dear Pauline
Thank you for getting in touch with Boots Expert.
I'm glad that you are finding the scar care serum effective and recommending it to others....thank you very much!
The product should be online by the end of next week, it's literally just gone into store so we're still in the process of adding it to the website. I will ask our formulators to provide some information on what you have suggested.
If you have any more feedback please get in touch.
Kind regards

I had a C section in Nov 06 and I was told to not put anything on it until it had completely closed up (even soap!). My midwife said to just clean it with water in the shower as using anything else could aggrevate it. Mine's healed up really well now and it's barely noticeable. I've just got a faint white line and it's very low so isn't a problem at all.:TCONGRATULATIONS MELON78 ON THE BIRTH OF YOUR LITTLE ONE :T
Take it easy after your section as much as you can with the little one, hope you've got everyone running around after you:smileyhea Proud Mummy of 2 :smileyheaTotally addicted to Boots glitches & the Next sales!0 -

I would echo your advice and congratulations. I had my caesarian 28 years ago, but nature changes very little. 3 months is usually about the average time that wounds become scars and settle down, but there are always exceptions. Infections can set in very easily. Very impressed with Boots though they are really on the ball.:T :T~ What goes around comes around ~0
