Boots Expert Scar Serum - Recommendation

I was wondering if anyone else has been using the Expert scar serum. I started using it 3/4 weeks ago, and I am amazed by it.

I had a total knee replacement just over 12 months ago and the scar is massive. (8 inches/20cms) Parts of it are keloid which basically means lumpy, red and raised.

Since I have been using the serum, it has not only lightened it considerably, but also softened the keloid part greatly. It is now far less raised and paler in colour

If it has the effect on large scarring I can certainly recommend it for lesser scars or stretchmarks etc. In the past I have paid a lot of money for Cica care gel, and had very little to show for my money.

Well worth the money. I am going to stock up while it is reduced. Is £3.99 from £5.99. Also an ACM voucher for 100pts.

I have been using this on my face for a few days and had comments today to how my face is glowing (if I wasn't so old they thought I would be pregnant!! I'm 43!!) I bought this because someone said it was the same as P&P, decided I'm going to stock up when I go shopping at weekend, great value at £3.99 and 100 points!!

    Hi Discount Diva!

It was me that said I thought it was very similar to P&P a few weeks back. I too have been using it twice a day and have found it just as good if not better than the P&P. I am glad you have too as I was beginning to think I may have imagined it!! However, someone did list the ingredients for them both and they were identical other than a couple of extras in the scar serum which can't be a bad thing if you're getting more things in the bottle and more of it and for less money :j

Would love to know anyone elses thoughts on this :)

My daughter had a mastectomy and she used it with very pleasing results and much prefered it to Bio Oil which was much more expensive

Sounds good, but I can't find this online; have you got a link? And in the store itself, what section is it in?

I bought it from instore but had to ask for it because couldn't find it on the shelf as they had not got round to putting out yet but I think it would go near the Bio-Oil which is usually near the body creams/lotions and potions. I am also unable to find it online so don't think it is available on dot com yet. I have a feeling it hasn't been out that long.

    Hi Nimi

It seems to be only the bigger stores that stock the R&M makeup. We have a few Boots in Hull but only the larger stores have any. I would give customer services a ring who may be able to help you, or failing that - try ringing the stores direct. Will save a wasted journey!

    HTH :)
