As I collected my photos this morning I was told to hand over my advantage card to register the transaction. guy who served me said Boots were cracking down on people that were getting free photos more than once and if their clubcard was used again for free photos it wouldn't work or something.

He said people were taking the p*ss. quote]

Maybe he's taking the p*ss, coz it's not stopping people getting multiple magazines and multiple highlighters now. What if you'd bought the magazine and used the coupons?

If this were the case then they would see a huge drop in profits, non?

For heavens sake  That shop is obviously managed by a right tight munter:mad:

Hi Passion thanks for checking. I'm going to try on Thursday i think. If the sets and accessorise boxes are down.................wishful blooming thinking:rolleyes: shall I get you any Passion?

mmmm shall I get on the phone again and throw a tantrum:rotfl: :rotfl:

LOL - my sister said that the SA she spoke to said that they weren't as quick as most stores at reducing things, and that a lot of things that could be reduced were sent back. (Not sure where that would be lol). She was almost apologetic about it apparently.

There's a good chance that I'll be there before Thursday - so if there's any real bargains, like S&G :D, I'll try to bag a few extra ;) x

I thought that when I saw the new Acms in Cardiff when they were trialing them but my own Boots has the keypads inside them for the techies to reprogramme them and add newstuff . I wonder whether this is what you have seen. I too thought it would be a good security thing for all the big point balance holders.

Next time I don't have to concentrate on couponing I'll have to remember to ask. I was actually hoping that it was, coz there's alot of serious points floating around out there.
  • hi,

I noticed today that one of the two ACMs at my local has had a keypad installed - are we getting PINs? Would protect all our precious points !:j

It wouldn't be a bad idea :) I was thinking earlier that when we reach a certain amount, we should be able to 'bank' them somehow. Then there's not so much worry if you lose an advantage card with loads of dosh on it ;)

Nope...get one free everytime you go through the tills if you want....

....thats what I thought, an SA who was serving me the other day was about to scan the mag must have remembered me and stopped and asked me if I had had one before and it was one per person. I said its one per transaction as far as I was aware and that if I wasn't allowed one then the till wouldn't let me would it. She scanned it and it was fine. :D

I felt like asking if she was the Boots police!!

    Hello everyone

I tried using my Sanctuary Spa vch last weekend but was told that I could only use this vch with the the sanctuary convent garden range  I thought the vch could be used on all of the sanctuary products:confused:.Does anyone know if this is the case Thanks.
Really enjoying reading all of the posts
    regards chocolatefudge;)

When I tried using mine - and got the dreaded beep when it was scanned, the SA said it only works on facial products:confused:

Has anybody seen any of the Soap and Glory Valentines sets reduced in the Manchester area? I really want one but don't want to pay full price.

Hi Jilly, i frequent the Manchester area (Arndale/Trafford/Manchetser Fort/Bolton/Bury etc) Boot's quite a lot!

Just come back from a very successful shop @ the Trafford Centre where i managed to get a Soap & Glory Small Or Nothing set (Righteous butter/shower gel/moisturising mist) for £3.33.

(It's my 1st time trying their products after hearing about them on here, and i must say the righteous butter - OH MY GOD! - i absolutely LOVE it! Totally converted & it smells so divine.. Yum! Comes highly recommended if you don't love it already, like moi :happyhear )

Anywho, getting carried away..,i can confirm the Trafford Centre has reductions & a 1/3 off on pretty much all the now lovely S&G products. Didnt look for Valentines set myself i must admit, but will certainly ask for you next time i go in. S&G products are upstairs on right hand side, near back, some near upstairs left hand tills.

I can also confirm LOTS of P&P sets and mags @ Manchester Fort & Bury (Woodfields Retail park)

HTH you Jilly and other fellow Mancs, will post successful shopping list soon for all you list lovers
