Skincare only, doesn't work on body skincare either
If you point out to the SA that the voucher says skin care, and that you do actually have skin on your body! she should put the points on manually. I did this the other day on the hand cream. The voucher just says 'skin care' It doesn't specify where that skin has to be!:D0 -
I noticed today that one of the two ACMs at my local has had a keypad installed - are we getting PINs? Would protect all our precious points !:j0

. I think im a bootaholic ever since i joined this thread lol. I even take my niece now with me when i have her on a wednesday but she does get to pick a toy and she does like shopping, shes only two so starting her young
I too feel like Boots is my second home - well apart from my classroom!! The brushes aren't with the make-up they are on the stand with nail clippers, nail scissors and such. Dollardog was the one who told me about this. A good 'buy' in my humble opinion.'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.'

I went to notts and used my 3 no7 £5 vouchers today. I remembered why i don't go into the city much, it was chaos. I thought there was something going on as it was packed everyone was having make up done and small crowds were watching. I was busy trying to look for a i-brush when a woman ran her pushchair into me and swore at me and made a very rude/personal comment  I think i was so shocked i just laughed at her. I would have loved to have said something back but she ran off.
Anyway transactions.
1. no7 mens face scrub 6.00 and highlights used 200pt voucher £5 voucher highlights voucher paid £1
2. same as above but bought mens no7 lotion
3. no7 nail files as there wasn't any i-brushes, nivea Q0 cleasing milk
used £5 voucher, 200pt voucher got 400pt for the Q10 but the 200pt didn't go on even though it scanned.
I was made to go to the self service till for the last transaction as the Q's were massive at all other tills so maybe this is why the pts didn't go on the Sa that helps took my vouchers out of my hands and posted them through the slot so i cudn't have it back:(
And finally i have to praise my wonderfull DH for doing the first 2 transactions for me while i was ( getting beat up) looking for more bargains. He said doing glitches has def aged him and he felt like he was stealing, but he was loving it when he got his own glitch. All Lnyx is on 2 for £4 but the sign was on a pack of 2 priced at £4.99 each so he took 2 x 2 packs. The bill came to £9.98 he said oh i will leave it as sign says all 2 for £2 SA looked at the sign and said yes it shouldn't be worded like that and honoured it:j 4 Lnyx for £2.
Other than that there wasn't any bargains to be had. All valentines things were turned into mothers day gifts. would have loved some cheap S&g or hat box sets to cheer me up from that woman. Sorry long post.:D:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -
Hi folks!! Hope everyone is good tonight:D I was in the Boots @ Garthdee(aberdeen) today there wasn't any reduced valentines gifts but there was a good lot of the p&p gift sets on a display directly facing you as you go in the door;) I was tempted but wouldn't use it so i gave it a miss!! They have a heap of deoderants with big reductions(they are still on the main shelf) with proper SEL's with the original and new prices on them!:D I got(copied from till receipt):-
Bionsn Deo 150ml = 80p
Radox Elm 150ml, Dry = 50p
Sanex inv arsl 150ml = 50p
Impuls BS Thrill = 48p
soft N gentle cotton = 38p
I'm not sure if this is Nationwide but i wish i'd picked up more now:( I always do this i take 1 or 2 then kick myself later!! I did see the Nivea Q10 night cream so i took it to the till for a price check but still £6.xx. Oh and i can't believe it our Moss chemist @ mastrick shops was bought over by Boots/Alliance last year, just noticed while passing in car yesterday they have moved to a bigger unit further along(next door to Semi chem)and re-opened as a Boots:j :j !OMG i'v died and gone to Boots heaven! Guess where i will be going for a nosey 2morrow??:D
HTH(sorry for the long post again:o)
Thought for today:-
There comes a time in your life when you realise who matters, who used to matter and those that never did;)
:T Now facing my debts instead of hiding from them!:T
Thanks to everyone on here than has helped me through my darkest days!:D0 -
Yes you can get 3 free photos,i did like mine and yuo can experiment with black and white /sepia prints for no charge also, but i didnt like the black and white ones.....also it can be done on the 1hour cos the voucher doesnt state it can't.
As I collected my photos this morning I was told to hand over my advantage card to register the transaction. guy who served me said Boots were cracking down on people that were getting free photos more than once and if their clubcard was used again for free photos it wouldn't work or something.
He said people were taking the p*ss. I was shocked and said excuse me Mr! He said well there was no other way of putting it.
I was actually getting 3 photos for my sister too and said to him well i didn't take my sisters card. He said he would allow it this time.
Oh how generous I thought (jobsworth more like!).
Thank goodness I didn't have my ds who is 3 with me. Although most people so swear I certainly didn't expect it coming form some SA on his high horse.
I was running late catching bus to work so didn't have the time to stand and argue with him. If I did have time I would have had alot more to say!Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)

I thought that when I saw the new Acms in Cardiff when they were trialing them but my own Boots has the keypads inside them for the techies to reprogramme them and add newstuff . I wonder whether this is what you have seen. I too thought it would be a good security thing for all the big point balance holders.0
