Hello all! I haven't posted in a while as I've been trying to stop "impulse buying" lol

Now I need help from you Boots wizards to maximise points/offers as I need to place an order for my mother online. She needs:

Protect and Perfect serum, 30ml priced at £16.75
Refind and Rewind serum priced at £16.75
Age Rewind day cream, priced at £17.50

I know that I can get the GWP for £20 spend on No7 and also 500 pts for a total £50 spend, plus free delivery over £40 spend.

What are my options to get the best out of it? I wouldn't mind getting 2 GWP by placing two separate orders and adding something to the second one to bring it up to £20, but then I will not get free delivery, nor the 500 pts.

Can anyone help? My brain is frying...lol
    Many thanks! :D

Edit: Ooooh I have just found a code for 750 pts for a £50 spend, bringing my points total for this transaction to 1454! Anyone has a better way of doing it?

Someone asked on here yesterday when Boots was going to stop giving out the pink No 7 voucher, don't know if it has been answered as I have only just got in, but the last day for issuing them is tomorrow, but you can spend them for about another week.
Don't forget the highlighter one finishes tomorrow too.

Well, I went in 2 of the Boots' in Hull today and neither of them had the new mag :( Was also looking for some reduced suncare stuff as I booked my honeymoon to Florida this week :D:D:D:D but there was no beauty reduced things in Kingston Retail Park :( just a shelf of pharmacy reduced stuff (which I am hoping I don't need while on my honeymoon!). Hessle square had a few reduced No.7 things but after booking honeymoon am pretty skint and can't justify spending money just for the extra points on something I don't really need.

Sorry for moaning - just disheartened at our Boots' being behind everyone elses!!

    xx

It's ages ago, but in a much earlier Boots thread, we did have one poster "crabbySA" who I think made it quite clear that they didn't like people getting a bargain!

    Anyone else remember them?

I think there have also been several other Boots staff on here. And very helpful too - telling people about when the sales are starting etc.

    Oooooohh...bloomin 'eck.....did you mean me????? I didn't say anything nasty...honest!! I was a "bootser" too....check my posts......I love a bargain...

Not sure if you know but have just skimmed the last 10 pages and i don't think you get the GWP from .com order. Also 30ml p&p in mothers day set for £20 if you can get one with other freebies.

apparently its better value to get the p&p set thats £20 as that has a full 30ml p &p as well as loads of other stuff. if you can order it while its in stock! hth

ooh just beat me:D you do get the gwp online, just not with giftsets such as the p&p set :)

  • I went into my local Boots in Luton this morning to use my last highlighter coupon before it finishes tomorrow ( have had 3 others) and have about 6 £5.00 of No7 pink vouchers to use (from e-bay and my 17 year old daughter) so picked up a highlighter, a Hydro Quench Sauna Mask plus my free GWP and a few other bits including the Nivea Q10 Cleansing Lotion. When I handed first my highlights coupon and then my £5.00 pink voucher and finally a 250 extra points coupon from the pink GWP previous buy (It has been quoted on here I think that you can use it with this item of 'skincare') the SA told me that I couldn't use the points coupon with the free highlighter. She wouldn't even try it for me. She said the pink £5.00 off was fine but not the points one!!! Has anyone else used it with this combination at all?
I paid and left with yet another £5.00 off pink voucher which I hope to use on Friday when I go back to town and 400 points from my Nivea Q10!!!
Determined not to be beaten and worried I won't be able to use all my remaining £5 vouchers by 2nd March I went back in 45 minutes later on my way out of town and picked up just the No7 wipes and took them to the till with the £5.00 voucher and a different SA put both vouchers/coupons through with no problems and I paid £1.50 and got 250 points. So success at last - although I still have 3 more 250 points coupons to use on Friday!!!
Anybody else from Luton ever find any good bargains in this store- Their clearance section upstairs always seems empty or pretty poor or maybe I just go in at the wrong time!!
(sorry for the long post - I just got carried away!! - I really enjoy reading all your posts on here and I'm addicted now to Boots!!)

Yeah since he is using a different account and AC from you he should def phone them up and see if he can get it fixed.
Sorry I can't be of any more help but us wee shop SAs don't really know much about the workings of .com as it's technically a different company.

Thanks very much Orlaith :) I guessed that he must have been missing out on the promotions, which seemed a shame, especially as I was hoping to add a few bits and bobs that I wanted on to his order ;) I'll ask him to ring them tomorrow.

I've just caught up with the rest of the thread and there seems to be a bit of a Boots anomaly at work lol.

hesjane Thanks also for the reply, and tbh, I thought that's how it worked - one code per account. I'm sure that I once opened a second account years ago, and don't recall any problems. Then again, I don't recall many promotional codes either :)

tbear06 It's all a bit barmy isn't it? But thanks for the reply. I'll definitely ask him to ring tomorrow and see why he should 'suffer' for my online purchases :D I'm tempted to open another online account myself ....just to see what happens lol. I'll let you know how he gets on. :)
