Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 18 - Post your finds here

Hi, I noticed that some people have had problems with this voucher, the one that is in the free gift - I wanted to use it today on some Sanctuary Spa body butters as I wanted another free gift, but till would not take it - the SA already said it was Sanctuary skincare range only, but surely it does say 'any sanctuary product' - and the rest of the card i detached it from has pictures of all the sanctuary ranges. Should it have scanned? apparently the till said either not spent required amount or not purchased correct product. I'd be very grateful for any help/info, many thanks.

Determined not to be beaten and worried I won't be able to use all my remaining £5 vouchers by 2nd March I went back in 45 minutes later on my way out of town and picked up just the No7 wipes and took them to the till with the £5.00 voucher and a different SA put both vouchers/coupons through with no problems and I paid £1.50 and got 250 points. So success at last - although I still have 3 more 250 points coupons to use on Friday!!!
Anybody else from Luton ever find any good bargains in this store- Their clearance section upstairs always seems empty or pretty poor or maybe I just go in at the wrong time!!
(sorry for the long post - I just got carried away!! - I really enjoy reading all your posts on here and I'm addicted now to Boots!!)

Hi, my local store is Luton and I agree there doesn't ever appear to be the real bargains there, I wondered if I aways go at the wrong time too

To get the 250 points give that voucher first before all others then it works

The clearance section is rubbish isn't it? nothing worth buying there, except for the Ted Baker bags reduced to 4.00, but scan at 2.66 (1/3 off TB) + there's a 100points coupon in AC machine for TB. I've bought a couple of these:D

It's actually very hard to spot glitches (or take advantage of them) in this store, because the manager is very good at disguising them. He either reads this forum or he's an ex Bootser:rotfl:

I'd love to know which SA told you that you couldn't use the points coupon with the free highlighter. There is a couple of jobsworths in that branch (I can think of one in particular), but mostly they are very nice, especially upstairs on the photo counter. My favourite SA works up there.

I might bump into you sometime. You will easily spot me. If you see someone holding a clear plastic wallet stuffed to the brim with vouchers that will be me:D

Everyone's having problems with these - me included:mad: I've got 4 to use, but can't get them to scan on anything!

I know what you mean - all of the Boots' are so spread out as well. you have to do a fair bit of mileage to get from one to the other lol!

Have you seen any of the new mags that people are going on about lately? I feel so left out :rolleyes:

I didn't see the Nivea sun range so may have to go back tomorrow - thanks for that Do you know in Kingston park if there is another clearance shelf? I am sure you have told me before but I cant remember, sorry . I'm sure they used to have it on the tall shelves at the front of the shop near the tills but its just full of chocs and mothers day stuff at the moment :rolleyes: The only reduced stuff was pharmacy (loads of vicks first defence hand stuff down to £1.50) - this was on a shelf in front of the pharmacy.

My honeymoon will be my first holiday abroad since I was 14!!!! I am so scared of flying! I have a bit of a phobia about being sick and I'm so worried about getting travel sick (even though I never have before)! Think I will have to stock up on travel sickness tablets from Boots :rotfl:

I had problem with this voucher at weekend. SA read the back and it says can't be used with offers blah blah. So if we are using in a sale and getting the current GWP this is why voucher is beeping.

Not seen any new mags yet Jo, but then again, I didn't expect to yet

Clearance in Kingston's all over the place lol, but it's where you said and sometimes near the babywear.

There's a small clearance upstairs in PC that no-one spots much - mainly toys and baby clothes, but still miss the one downstairs that was all jumbled up lol. Thanks about the info re first defence - Carex doesn't agree with me. Beverley looks like it's moved the clearance shelf back, possibly for wheelchair users. Not much in there btw, but I'll try to get to Hessle

Before I got to the end of your post I was going to suggest Boots for something for flying sickness lol, but you'd sussed it I'd have a word with the pharmacist. x
