Where have all of the early birds gone? I've been away for a few days so it's taken me all night to catch up with about 25 pages worth of posts!!! Can't see any mention of the .com sale though.

Also managed to use the 250 points on No7 skincare on the men's shaving balm and used the £5 voucher and got the illumination powder all for £1.00 but got back 250 points. :T

    Phew, I'll stop there!

This is what I am confused about. And whilst trawlling through the last thread - not that I mind really:D I thought I had picked up on a few others like that??

I specifically bought men's No7 cos I had read that the 250 points would go through with that but it was refused. I was told this was because you couldn't use it in conjunction with any other offer and the GWP was an offer:D

Man, they are getting really mean over those skincare points vouchers aren't they? I couldn't use mine with the P&P set as although it was skincare it was classed as a Giftset, some people have been told it's only on facial skincare even though it doesn't say that on the voucher.
I'm beginning to think some of the SA's make it up as they go along

Not sure what went wrong there as I managed to use the 250 points today with the men's no7. Although I didn't get the GWP with it as I didn't need any other makeup stuff and my husband thinks anything for men's skincare is a bit too weird for him. I got him the shaving balm as he will use this. I handed over all my vouchers together in no particular order and they all scanned.

    Hi pingua

there are 2 ways to use the £5 off voucher. You can either use it with the highlights voucher in order to get your purchase to the £20 mark for the free gift with purchase, so an example would be

    Illuminating highlighter 10.25
Pore refining serum 9.75 - or anything this price or over
    Free gift with purchase

Hand over No7 points vouchers, such as one from Christmas gift set or current GWP, highlighter coupon from instore magazine = £10.25 off and £5 off voucher and pay £4.75 for 2 products plus gwp.

The second way is to get a lower priced item, such as shaving balm or 4 in 1 wipes, and illuminating highlighter. So for example

    Shaving balm £6
    Illuminating powder £10.25

Hand over points coupon, magazine voucher = £10.25 off and £5 off voucher. Pay £1 for shaving balm because you used £5 off voucher and if the product you bought is classed as skincare, get 250 points, plus free illuminating powder because you used magazine voucher.

The difference here is that you are not getting the gift with purchase because you are purchasing a cheaper item so are not reaching the £20 spend threshhold.

Also, if you are doing a big enough shop to diguise your No7 purchase, you can also use the parenting club voucher for £5 off when you spend £20 on No7/ ruby and millie, and get all your No7 completely free :j I tried it the other week on illum powder/pore refining serum/gwp and it worked for me. A million thanks to whoever came up with that combination :rotfl: HTH x

  • I gave up with the .com sale last Saturday.

Glad I did to be honest.

I was told in Boots today that 'they' (head office:confused:) have stopped the glitch whereby you can use points vouchers (eg such as the one from previous GWP) with current GWP promotion. Apparently it was never meant to go through.

Maybe this is why we are all suddenly getting beeps galore when we try to use the points voucher.

It does go through with the high lights voucher and any other no. 7 item apparently but as soon as the GWP is introduced into the purchases being put through the till then it is programmed to reject extra point vouchers from previous gift sets and GWPs.

Only what I was told by very helpful SA....not what I know:rotfl:
  • Ooh, that's a spot of luck. I got the 4 in 1 wipes and illum powder for £1.50 yesterday in Canterbury with my last few vouchers. got 250 points so chuft I didn't miss out if it's all changed now.

Edit to say just reread your thread hesjane, so can we still spend a £1/ £1.50 and get 250 points if we're not getting GWP?
