Was already into the MSE way of thinking before I found you - but now it is totally a way of life!
We don't go anywhere or buy anything without checking out the site (& I dread to think how many hours I have spent on here - it is addictive, but in a good way!).
- Started overpaying the mortgage and now on target to be 'Mortgage Free At 40' - a lifelong dream!
- Sorted out some little bits of savings & maxed the mini cash ISA's at the best rates.
- Switched the car & house insurance, the gas & leccy suppliers, and any other service-providers possible.
- Claimed back my 'misleading' AXA policy & got offered full refund of premiums paid (waiting for the dosh now.....).
- Got & given loads of advice & shared experiences.
THANK YOU MARTIN & ALL INVOLVED IN THIS WONDERFUL SITE - LONG MAY YOU CONTINUE! (AND HOPE MARTIN GETS A MENTION IN THE NEXT HONOURS LIST - HE DESERVES IT!).The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"
..."Mind yer a*se on the step!"
TTC with FI - RIP my 2 MC Angels - 3rd full ICSI starts May/June 2009 - BFP!!! Please let it be 'third time lucky'..... EDD 7th March 2010.0 -
Happy Birthday MSE.
Your site has provided such great support for me at a very black time. It has kept me going and reminded me I am not just a faceless number to be taken advantage of at will. The weekly e-mail is the highlight of my week – it has brought some fun back to my life again.
It is a very long time since I witnessed caring such as I see every week on this site. Where else do people from all walks of life come together for the good of each other when in many cases they would never come into contact at all? :T It is unprecedented in an age when businesses have obviously forgotten that they are only people too and would not like to be treated as they treat their customers.
Keep up the fantastic work. Thanks to everyone involved.Cheap and cheerful. Preferably free. :T LBM - more a gradual rude awakening.
DFD where the light is at the end of this very long tunnel - there, see it? Its getting brighter!!
