The Bigger Picture
For me while all the big reclaims get the publicity; actually its the underlying trend of financial education, helping people get out of debt, taking companies on and just putting more cash in peoples pockets that really count.
The community built up around this site often provides moving moment of unconnected people pulling out all the stops to help each other. Long may it reign and thanks to all MoneySavers for your immense contribution.

Since I have been a member on MSE I have learnt a whole new way to handle my money and make it go further and with all the extra tips and glitches etc that also appear on MSE I have had some real bargains and been able to buy things that I would not usually have afforded.
So Happy Fifth Birthday from me and keep up the good work :T :T0 -
Wonderful site. I have never come across another forum where everyone if a potential friend and source of support and knowledge.

Happy 5th Birthday :bdaycake:
This site has saved me a small fortune, cost me a lesser fortune (grabbit was whose idea exactly) and taken up half my life reading these boards.
Thanks mate
Seriously though I was pretty broke and getting broker until I rolled up here - now I have cash in the bank and I've made some good friends along the way too, so thanks for that :beer:The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -
I have been spurred into overpaying my mortgage...which i had found mse and done it years ago when i had no kids but more money i could have sent to the mortgage company!!
I have eaten off many try it for free deals, thanks for those,
reclaimed mortgage exit fee money,
brought things for silly prices on the grabbit section
and saved loads by using cashback/pigsback/free delivery/money off coupons as found on mse.
Thanks a million, happy birthday and keep up the great work!Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞0 -
Congrats and thank you.
Saved another £300 pa yesterday when I did my now annual energy switch, though my annual car insurance switch today only saved me £3.27 (but fully comp for 107 and then 30 cashback for taking it out isn't bad - and it means I can go back to post office as a 'new' customer next year and get their 50 cashback, which should bring it down again)0 -
