Anyone know of Phone City Ltd.?
Just been offered a deal and can't see the catch yet. Phone City have offered free line rental 2 years, 7500 minutes per month cross-network first 6 months, 400 minutes cross-network next 18 months. It's all 'free' and paid by the cash-back method, them depositing £560 into my account prior to my bill every month (which is £560 for first six months) and £40odd thereafter.
Been reading through the T&Cs and can't spot anything. I believe the company have been going for a year and are based in Bradford...
Any experience or help would be much appreciated.

Dont go for such big risk!Experience is not good in such instances if it is 3g.They usually have time limits to encash the cash back. And if you miss your deadline thats it! You will lose the money.Instead of that go for Dialaphone offers0

Do they have an active website? So we can read there T&C.PF.0

Big thanks to eagleeye and pricefighter. Pretty sure I'm not going with it - sounds excessive to me, they only faxed me the T&Cs and I can't find a website although they've quoted the domains https://www.phonecity.ltd.uk and https://www.phonecity.com. it's an orange deal though, not sure if I understand the encashing the cashback bit, they say it gets deposited in my account days before the bill???0

Their call centre may be based in india.I recve a lot of calls on my land phone for mobile deals(usually thief 3) and when i ask them abt the website usually they say mobilevillage.com etc but in fact they don't have any website.Even one of my friend who does marketing for such company offshore which don't have any website told me that they are told to lie or name the website which doesn't exist.Go for dialaphone cashback deals or other reputed website /offline store .Dialaphone gives you the target date on which you shall post the bill for redemption.most of the Uk companies they are not clear in cash back and they delay it or sometimes even refuse cashback on the grounds that you have submitted the bill early, etc.or check the offline shops of https://www.microlinemobiles.co.uk ,https://www.microhardonline.co.uk ,https://www.talksmart.co.uk etc .They are still safer than the phone city.Check this birmingham based company http://www.thephoneworld.com/default.aspx?network=orange&type=contract.0

A domain search indicates that the site https://www.phonecity.com belongs to someone in the USA!!!
The other domain does belong to them, they have had it for quite a while and dont use it.
Sounds a tad suspicious to me!!!PF.0 -
avoid like the plague. Some notorious history of companies based in bradford. Unless they have been going a number of years - steer clear0

Many thanks for all the replies. Looks like I won't be taking them up although I will look at dialaphone.0
