    Evening all,

Just been catching up on your doings today. Mudbath - I particularly like the way you handle your visiting brat - brilliant psychology!

Right, I did manage to get the chicken in the slow cooker before I left for work this morning (just as well it's half term - I left 5 minutes later than normal but still managed to arrive 5 minutes earlier than normal :D)

I'm now off to see how much I can do on the list before 6.30 - on my marks, get set goooooooo!!!!!!

Divided the flapjacks into 8 portions, and have decided to only take a box with 4 in tomorrow (1 each). OH and I had to try them tonight to make sure they were ok, so we've both just scoffed one down with a cup of tea - they are yummy even if I do say so myself, and OH was pleased too. Dinner in 20 mins, so hope I can manage it all now I've been a piglet so close to dinnertime.

Mudbath, I loved your approach to your visitor - definitely a technique I may have to try in the future.

Speedy post, as yet again I'm on here when I should be cooking dinner.

Very litle flying done here, as my sister phoned this morning, and we had a massively long chat. Good news, as she has managed to get to speak to the head of the local social services, and he has agreed to fund mum's place in the care home, regardless of whether the NHS appeal is successful. Mum can be transferred as soon as the ward re-opens - it has been closed since Friday because of one of these sickness bugs. Fortunately mum is still in the isolation ward, so is very unlikely to catch it, but Dad is worried about her as he hasn't missed a single day until Friday. Thank you to everyone for the hugs, kind thoughts and support - it is very much appreciated, and you've helped no end.

I have managed to wash DD's bedlinen, and that's about it. The boys and I went down to the allotment after lunch, DS2 cut down all the autumn raspberries and weeded most of that bed, I dug out all but 6ft of the old raspberries, and huge clumps of grass, and DS1 did the bonfire. We came home just before 5pm, totally shattered, and stinking of smoke, so have all washed hair, and all the clothes straight in the washing machine.

Weekly shopping to do tomorrow, and I'll whisk round the master bedroom, and then probably off to retail outlet, as DD needs new trainers, and we may be able to find her some other footwear. She has narrow feet, and quite sensitive skin, and nearly always ends up with massive blisters. She is off on a very special trip to india in April, and needs really comfortable footwear - and ones that she will actually wear... this could take all of the available time before she leaves!

Mudbath - I hate fussy eaters, and children with bad manners. One of my DD's friends is fussy, but I deliberately do something different each time, and have now quite extended her range! She isn't rude though, and at 9 there's absolutely no excuse for that.

Hugs to everyone, must go now, hungry children demanding food, and as I'm shopping tomorrow, there's nothing ready to snack on...
