Well the flapjacks are baked now, and it's all I can do to resist eating them now. Must be good though - they're for tomorrow, and I don't have enough butter etc to make another batch. Plus I don't think my skin or waistline would appreciate it. I've put some dried fruit in to make them a little healthier - chopped dried apricots, dried cranberries and sultanas. They look and smell gorgeous!

My hands are really dry, and I can tell I've been flying today. Must put some handcream on. Off to dinner at MIL's tonight so don't have to cook, which is good. Roll on the next 2 hours til we go round - I'm starving! Does anyone else get ravenous when AF is due or is it just cos I'm special?

skintscotslass there should be a button on the alarm that says test.....press it and it should make some sort of noise. If in doubt of it working or not, and you can't find instructions (some you may be able to find instructions for online) for what they cost (free from some fire stations) I would replace them.

That'll be the big red button with TEST on it then! How thick am I??? And it is actually working to my amazement!

I think all kids in their circle of friends have someone like that...

Ok have sampled the muffins and they are absolutly fine to share with everyone else (if I must!)

Off to find another load for the machine - and then get supper on the go.

omg look at the time - better hurry - spent too long trying to think of an excuse that doesn't sound too anti-social for this bloomin' ball thing the school are having... not only do you get accosted by the people organising it - I am getting e-mails now!!! off to [STRIKE]ponder[/STRIKE] cook...

Thanks to everyone with advice on my work situation. I have thought about setting up a meeting between the 3 of us and I've also thought about writing a letter. We are a very close office and I wouldn't want to get too legal about things. It just really scared me when he said I was messing up a family and could loose my job. It's not right to be given the consequences of something that I'm not actually doing. MD does this alot with all sorts of situations - he says he 'knows everything that goes on' but most of what he says isn't right. As I am the youngest in the office, he does pick on me quite a lot but then, I am part of the management team so, it is really confusing. No, there's no reason for CM to want something to be going on, and vice versa. We all work close together but that's because we are the management in the company and have to. I would hate for this rumour to get out to our operatives and then for it to snowball. If CM's wife heard the accusations, she would probably believe them which makes it even more difficult. The thing is, MD doesn't mention it all of the time - he only brings it up every few weeks which is why I thought he was joking. MD is off for at least a week now so I have some time to think about it. Was thinking about waiting until the next time he mentions it, saying I don't appreciate the accusations and if he says anything again - then write a letter.

    Hi Ash

How would you feel about emailing MD as its not as formal as a letter, but written evidence if, heaven forbid, you need it? I dont think you should let this one go. He has no right to threaten you like that. Did you check out the ACAS site or how about CAB? I take it you dont have a union?

Thanks for all your support. Little brat just came to me and said...'if I eat the sausage and chips can I have ice-cream''. Of course you can', say I, 'after you've eaten some fruit'. 'but I never eat fruit at home' says brat. 'All the more reason to eat some here then!' I'm feeling evil...how much fruit shall I make him eat!
