Just a quick post as I should really be cooking some potatoes for dinner...
Welcome to all the newbies!
dusty - I probably would have waited to plant the hellebore, only because I don't like gardening when it's very cold or wet. It's a very hardy plant, so although it won't be growing much while the soil is so cold, it'll be fine I'm sure. It may however need watering, as it won't be able to get any water from the frozen soil. More frost may also 'heave' it out of the ground, so I'd just check on it occasionally.
I did the kitchen today, and whipped round half the livingroom as well, as I want to spend lots of time tomorrow on the allotment. I have some [STRIKE]child labour[/STRIKE] willing voulunteers to have a bonfire of all the rubbish while I dig out old raspberry canes and all the weeds in the fruit area.
I can't do very much in the main bedroom, as the wardrobes are still ongoing. I do now have baskets and drawers on my side!! I'll post a piccie when finished.
Getting the silent treatment from DD today as I won't give consent for another ear piercing. I've given her the number for the NSPCC and Social Services.:DIt is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

[FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]XX-3G47 £10 off £50 spend just got in email off Tesco if anyone wants to try it. I know they've been lacking in the codes department lately. Says valid on orders until 27th February.
Bowling was funDS2 won the first and DS1 won the second game
they both really enjoyed it.
Haven't vacuumed today downstairs and boyyyyy can you tell :rotfl:forgot before we went out, bloomin' dog hair.
I can't remember how much they are embb but Costco do Henry vacuum cleaners, wonder if they are much cheaper (I saved £50 on my Actifry) Alternative would be ask your boss how cheap they can get you one
galantvr4 well done girl, pass some of your motivation this way please, I keep trying to stop but part of me enjoys it and just doesn't want to, however selfish that may seem. (I won't smoke in the house or car however as I don't like the smell,I'm one of those annoying anti smoke smokers who's considerate and that seems to bug people)
ashbart, I second the acas suggestion, has anyone else had a similar problem with him who has been employed in the past/presently? Only asking because these types tend to have done it before. I'd also be refusing to speak to him in future while you sort this out, without a witness.

Need a bit of advice if there's any going - I work in an office of 4 people. My Managing Director (MD) has been accusing me of having an affair with one of the other office people (we'll call him CM) for over 6 months now. It has just been sort of joking but, recently he has been more serious. Today, he sat me down for half an hour telling me the affair has got to stop and that I'm ruining a family, etc, that I could loose my job, etc. The thing is - we ARE NOT having an affair!!! We are NOT flirty or anything - I cannot see where MD gets this idea from!! CM is older than my father so, I wouldn't even think about it! CM, our secretary, and I have found it funny up until now but, after the conversation MD & I had this morning, I'm now worried and insulted at the same time. No matter what I say - I cannot seem to convince him that there is nothing going on. Please, any ideas would be welcome. Thanks in advance
Ash xx

Evening all
Pink - thank you for the goodies - especially the chicken soup and thanks everyone else for your best wishes.
I've done NOTHING today. I took to my bed with a book and then fell asleep for three hours. Then resolved not to lie in bed anymore in case I fell asleep again so took the book to the armchair and wrapped myself up in a quilt. I just couldn't get warm.
I have done no flying whatsoever. Not even delved in my knicker drawer. The kitchen's a tip with cups everywhere. The dishwasher needs unloading and I just couldn't be bothered.
But, I'm feeling a tad better but there's still something rumbling way up in my sinuses. I'm now about to unload that dishwasher, put some bread on and have a really un-old style dinner of oven chips and oven ready battered cod. I might just find the energy to scrape a carrot and find the frozen peas too.
But that will be the extent of my evening.
Ashbart - wrt to the MD and the alleged affair - you need to ask him why he thinks there's one going on. It could be that CM is playing up to it? In which case, CM needs to stop that.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
