  • Wow Ash thats a tricky situation, Why is MD so adamant? I agree with what GnB has said.

Thanks for the support, It'll be nice tho have someone to go through it with, though I'm ok at the mo, I've tried with patches and hypno in the past, but failed after a few weeks both times, this time it's cold turkey!! It will be 24hrs at 9pm and I haven't murdered the kids or animals, not sure why I chose HT to do it in.

Got loads of my list done tho, been a bit hyperactive:rotfl:

Ashbart, I would firstly, write a letter stating that you feel insulted and uncomfortable with the accusation that you are having an affair with a colleague. That you wish for the accusations to stop now. Or you will be seeking advice from a lawyer as it constitutes harassment.

If he does continue it., seek advice from a lawyer (or union rep if you have one). Usually the first consultation is free, and even if it were to cost you £50 for a letter from a lawyer, it may be worth it.

Or, right now, call ACAS who can tell you EXACTLY where you stand with this situation.

I have used them on a few occasions, once when I was called as witness in a sexual harassment case, once when I was being unfairly treated when pregnant with DS2 and a few times for hubby. They give great advice and it's free.

Thats so good to hear, Doctors etc. always say NRT is the way to go but I'm not so sure, I'm pleased you beat it on your own, not feeling quite so alone.

Great advice, however i maybe wouldnt mention lawyers in the first letter? It is quite heavy handed and in such a small office could create some serious bad feeling. Would use lawyers as a last resort, i do agree a letter would be sensible, keep a copy for your own evidence too incase you have to go down the legal route.

    Hi all!

Back from Brighton. It was nice to see some of the girls there, but two of them didn't turn up again which was a bit disappointing, as we had arranged to go to Pizza Hut especially for one of the no-shows who was bringing her little ones, and the carpark nearby cost a fortune - £3.20 per hour (so £12)!!!!

On the plus side, the weather was lovely, and my friend who gave me a lift down there and I walked along the beach in the sunshine before looking around the shops in the lanes, where I found a really nice pair of earrings for my Mum's birthday.

Have just brought the washing in that I put out this morning, and it is nearly dry. Just a quick whizz in the TD should get rid of the dampness. I've scrubbed the wall in the bedroom, as we seem to have a problem with damp on the wall behind my bedside table, and there was black mould on the wall. It hasn't all come off with the bleach and antibacterial wipes that I've tried, so I don't really know what else to do. Think it'll need a new coat of paint too.

Glad I pulled out the bedside table though as there was a thick layer of dust under it to hoover away - perhaps now my cough etc will get better.

Well OH is home now, so off to put the kettle on.

  • Ashbart sorry you are in such a difficult situation.

I agree with what the others say about writing a letter.

One question, is there any way that CM might think/like something to be going on? If not then maybe going to see him together may be a help.

Good Luck with it. Maybe with another member of staff that you have discussed it with.
