By recycling old scrap cars, we can help reduce emissions and cut down on pollution. So if you have an unwanted vehicle in need of scrapping fast, it will not cost you a penny and you will be doing your bit to help the environment.

The guy who came to get my old car was really effient - made the paperwork easy and i got £20 for the car (K reg citroen Ax - sadly had to be scrapped last feb) i really thought i would have to pay someone to take it away. The guy i had didn't do 'price haggling' but always worth a try.Debt free May 2016 (without the support of MSE forum users that would never have been possible - thank you all)0

last year my car blew its head gasket, other things decided to break at the same and generally was too expensive a fix. i sold mine to some dude from the yellow pages who fixes them up himself and sells them on and got a nice wedge for it! to me, the car was scrap. check loads of places first, you'll be surprisedcomping sporadically since 14.07.07

I sold my car for scrap once ,complete rust bucket mot failure..and a few months later kept getting parking tickets, then one day it drove past me on the other side of the road...so make sure you sort out the log book properly..0

Or, if you're really not fussed about getting money, see if a local college that runs mechanics' courses would like it. There are also local projects that turn "joyriders" into kids with skills, and they're always enormously grateful for donated vehicles.
