Hi All,
just to let you know that www.Pixmania.co.uk / www.dixons.co.uk and Currys are all the same...how do i know? because i ordered a bosh SRS55C02G slimline dishwasher from pixmania for a total of £223.04 (inc a discount code found online) :money:and when it was delivered, the invoice was a currys invoice with "Dixons Pixmania UK" typed in via computer.
Currys sell the same Bosh SRS55CO2G dishwasher for a shocking:eek: £349.95 plus £22.95 for delivery and Dixons sell it for a more reasonable £235.08 plus £19.95 delivery.
So my point is...if pixmania can sell it for that price and still make a profit, how is it around £100 more to buy online @ Currys?

Be warned though, I'm pretty sure pixmania is based in France.
I bought a camera and battery charger from them and it took a while to come (as it had come all the way from france).
Plus the battery charger had a european 2-pin plug with a very bulky adapter in the box. Making it very unweildy and difficult to use.
I was quite annoyed as the site never mentioned this. Plus, when the camera had a fault, it caused problems with the returns procedure and I ended up sending it directly to fuji at my own expense as it was much quicker (by several weeks)0 -
I thought everyone knew that Pixmania was part of the same group as Curry's/Dixons/PCworld.
Indeed, Pixmania is based in France, and yes there have been problems with some guarantee work because of this.0 -
i would knew use pixmania again0

Also, whilst Pixmania are cheap, the products they send come with French handbooks, which is ok if a product is relatively intuative, but its a real pain to download a whole handbook for something complex like a camera0

For some things Pixmania have Euro versions which are different in specifications.
I've seen this with the Home AV amp and receiver/speaker sets. Some have no radio, or DAB but have HDMI pass through and USB sockets instead.
They also come with the euro plugs so travel adapters are needed and fuse changes.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep
& Choo Choo for trains!!0 -
I refuse to even visit pix mania's website. Their good arrived weeks late, their customer service is non existent, they send you 2 pin plugs, french manuals and grey goods on occasion. I bought from them and never again. Id rather pay a few quid more and buy from a uk retailer.0

My advice would be DO NOT SHOP with Pixmania!! Just Google 'Pixmania problems' and you will find thousands of forum threads, blogs and feedback cataloging all sorts of problems with them.
Personally I have been waiting for a refund of £186 for 2 months - they say they have paid it but they haven't. I am now about to take to it small claims.
I have been visiting MoneySavingExpert for a while now but signed up to the forum today just to help spread the word about Pixmanias diabolical service.
I've been chasing this refund for a while. You can only contact Pixmania via their website contact form. I sent them a note saying where's my refund and they replied from a 'noreply' email address saying 'check with my credit card company!!'. Now I cannot send the same contact form again - their website says I've already used that contact form!! The internet reveals this is a common reply and tactic by them.
They are essentially scammers and have been getting away with it for years by all accounts.
How do we stop companies like this? Or are we doomed to have them poop on us forever?!?0 -

I have got the credit card company on it but they are being worse than useless themselves!! They have asked for evidence which I have sent them twice now, by recorded delivery, but apparently they have no record on their system of it being received!! Seems like its gone missing somewhere between their front door and the disputes department!! Twice!!!0
