Problem with O2 contract phone...

i have a sony ericcson k850i on a 12mth O2 contract thet was renewed in oct 07

the phone had a fault with it. ( touch screen not working ) so it was sent off for repair, after 2 weeks i recieved it on thurs. charged it and used it on friday and by saturday it was broken again!!!!!!:mad: SAME PROBLEM!!!!!!

Contacted the o2 customer services and was told i have to send it away again for repair????

They said they do not have to replace the phone unless it has been repaired 3 times!!!!!

Where do i stand?????? Please help.......:o

  • the repairs are not done instore they have to send handset away. the warranty is with sony ericsson not o2 so they can advise that it has to be sent away for repair

  • You have been misinformed. Consult the contract you have which is available on the o2 web site and refer the company to the sale of goods act which covers the issue.

    I recently had problems with my 02 phone, the screen kept going white, anyways ... after recieving the phone back the same "problem" occured within a few days, i was informed by 02 that due to the phones "problem" occuring again within 2 weeks of their "repair" i was due a new handset which i recieved about 2 weeks ago. When i have a problem with 02 i always call customer servcies and arrange for the local 02 store to deal with the problem, i take the phone to them and collected my new one from them etc.
