I've decided this is going to be my progress thread.....!
Simon.
Simon i use halifax locked saver ~ here @ 7.00% Its locked for a year and then put into a halifax web saver. But once the year is up and its transferred just put it back in the new years account. But first you need to use your isa allowance. However saying that i dont use an isa because i would be tempted to dip... this tax year though i will open one with halifax (the one i have now is with natwest alongside my current account) and see how i go. But I agree with keren, ask on the savings board.0 -
So, could I go to any High Street bank and set up a ISA? Sorry, I don't know anything about this!
Here's hoping I get the compensation that maybe offered for my Northern Rock shares....!

Well, I'm happy - just paid £400 of the CC off. Payday next week, so will pay another £500 off.
This is easier than I thought.....I've spent £20 in the last week!
Although, I've just been a bit naughty, and bought a Mc Donalds! :-(

Hello!
Going excellent thank you, just paid off another £200 (it's payday, hooray!) and hope to pay off another £600 ish next week once I've sold my laptop and received another payment into my account.
It's my birthday today so treated myself to a new Ipod with some vouchers that I received from work, just got to work out how to transfer songs from my old Ipod to my new one!
