Does anyone know if I need to get my phone 'switched' to do this or is it ready to use overseas? I'm off skiing in France tomorrow.
Thanks
Thanks

More of a network thing than a phone thing. Phone your network
Unless you want to use a French sim in your phone in which case the phone should be unlocked. In this case check whether it is unlocked by trying the sim from a different provider.0 -
Thanks. I'll phone O2. It's only for the odd call so wont bother to buy a sim.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0

Ahhh I'm too late. Their customer services have closed apart from 'emergencies'. I'll just have to try and see!somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0

Back again! Having given up on customer services I discovered that it is set up for roaming on their website. I've also discovered that I can make cheaper phone calls home if I contact them and ask to be put on their My Europe arrangement (free) - ie 36p per minute which is much cheaper than their usual rate.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0
