dialaphone "cashback to your airtime account"

i know this has been mentioned on various postings ... but i still don't understand what it really means ... assuming a tariff is taken for 12 months and you want to finish it at the end of the 12 months .. what happens with the cashback .... can you actually get some....any...all ...the cashback back as "real money".

I took out a "3"deal only a few weeks ago with dialaphone and the cashback is straightforward as cheques which is obviously the preferred method .

I assumed the "airtime account" was a way of dp keeping your money so you kept the tariff going but i'm sure some of the postings imply you can get the cashback back ??

thanks

Yes I want to know this as well. I phoned them to ask as they have a Siemens SF65 at £1.99 for 12 months on a 12 month contract. The CS bod said you can't have the money from your airtime account back, but can use it for six months free line rental.
Surely this is false advertising as it is not cashback....

Has anyone successfully recovered the credit back from their airtime account?

I have been with them for over 10 months. Despite them texting me that I had been granted the 6 month cashback and a further letter two months later that this was now being paid into my bank account - I still have not got my cashback - Beware.

Just got the phone from dialaphone moto v600.The money will be back in 4 stages. In past i had purchased the 2 phones from them only and i got all the money back.Although their customer services is unable to answer when the money will be back into the account. They are also not sure whether i will get the money back if i change the tariff. On the other hand phones4u clearly said that i can change the line rental after 6 months and this will not effect the cash back. But Dialaphone was not able to clarify the matter and they told me to contact the network. When i contacted o2 they said cash back is proble for dialaphone not for us.So that means one should remain on same line rental for 12 months to still remain eligible for cash back if u buy through the dialaphone.

Yes, cashback is the supplier's problem, not the network's. So dialaphone telling you to contact the network should set BIG alarm bells ringing.
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.

I trust the cashback bit - to a degree, I want to know if I can actually have the cash or if it's a suedo cashback.
You can't get a straight answer from CS, and there's absolutley no chance of getting hold of a contract.
