Reverse-Billed Text Messages

Yesterday morning I received the following text: ""Would you like the opportunity to audition for a role in the new Harry Potter movie?Simply text the word STAR to 60999 followed by your name."
The text preports to be from TalentText (07797706032). I have never subscribed to this service and I am rather annoyed to find that it is a reverse-billed service, for I pay for texts sent TO me.
I read some advice that said I should send a reply saying "STOP ALL" to this number but I am loathe to do that as I feel that (a) it's unfair that I am paying twice for a text I didn't even ask for and (b) I am doubtful if that will stop the problem.
Subsequent investigations have found that the 60999 number is owned by a company called TxtNation (08701994741), who in turn have their number provided by a company called YAC Ltd, whose head office is based in Dublin.(Surprise, surprise, their number is also an 0870 one!)
I have already written to an address provided by Orange to obtain an itemised copy of my phone records for the last six months. (The address, for information, is Correspondence Department, P.O.Box 10, Patchway, BRISTOL BS32 4BQ).
My phone call to Orange yesterday to try and resolve this problem was rather frustrating. Firstly, I couldn't understand very clearly the person I was speaking to (sounded Dutch) and secondly I was promised 100 free text messages as a goodwill gesture but then I received a text from Orange saying they couldn't give me them and that I should call 450 and select Option 2. I did this and all it did was lead to further menus!!! Then I received another text from Prange that said "We are unable to stop 3rd party services due to tech error…call Orange450 option 2 for further details"!!
Does anyone have any advice as to how I can (a) stop these messages and (b) get my money back?
Cheers

i had exactly the same experience being reverse charged for receiving messages for a service i had never signed upto. (cost me about £120 until i realised)
basically youre knackered. texting stop etc wont help as the company is clearly willing to text you regardless of whether you want the service or not.
the only way forward is to change you mobile no. quite annoyingly the woman in the phone shop said 'just text stop'. yeah, really helpful. its basically throwing good money after bad so change your no. the company in my case 'wireless international' choose not answer the phone as well. incredibly annoying and the phone shop wont reimbuse you for the cost of the texts either. tps doesnt work either because its a voluntary service that the supplier would have to sign upto as well
