  • I have now flown Silverjet twice now and just wanted to share my experiences. It was a fantastic experience and having flown with most major airlines, it was heads aboive the competition. Most people, myself included, consider the start of the holiday the moment you get to your destination and ends when you leave for the airport. However flying with Silverjet was the first time the flying became part of the holiday itself. What was so great?
    1) The service levels we receieved both at the private lounge and onboard the aircraft were beyond our expectations. The staff couldnt help enough whilst being professional. 2) The queue-free check-in at the private Silverjet lounge (which includes free food, wine, champagne, wifi internet and access to showers). 3) The food onboard the aircraft was excellent (and served on proper porcelain dinner plates and with silverware cutlery) 4) the onboard personal entertainment stystem 4) the spacious and calm interior with lie flat beds on the plane.

All in all, it was simply brilliant and I cannot recommend them enough...Hope that is useful to somebody

Very sound advice, especially as Eos are about to commence flights in direct competition on the same route (New York) and BA are extending 'Business Only' flights to NY as well

silverjet are supposed to be struggling:confused::D
Honesty is the best policy doesn't matter which web site
    you are on!

if i had known then what i know now!

a bargain is only a bargain if you really need it!
  • ... hence the offer perhaps...
    Friendly greeting!
  • Yeah, I read today that Silverjet are struggling and wonder if it is worth taking the risk of booking with them.

    Decisions, decisions!

for travel in July or August.

Most airlines do offers for business class flights because demand is low at this time.

I've taken 4 return trips with SilverJet from Luton to New York. Before, I favoured Virgin Atlantic and their Premium Economy (similar price to SilverJet but significantly lower quality of service). The only thing that Virgin Atlantic do better is In-Flight Entertainment (sorry SilverJet, although your headphones are better!)

All that I can do is confirm what Mikey12345 said above - an exceptional service. I sincerely hope that they survive.

Speculating here, but do you think another password could be "Luton" by any chance?

Don't forget, this is Luton (and Newark, not JFK) so you avoid Heathrow Hell... The 30 minute check-in is for real. I leave home at 8.00am for the 10.00am departure, get to Luton mid-stay at 8.30am, check-in at 8.45am and wonder why I rushed! Longest ever queue at check in, 3 people! Private lounge, private security line, bus to plane, only 100 of you, ratio of 10:1 flight attendants - long live SilverJet! Not quite as good at Newark (bigger airport) but with the lie-flat beds to look forward to (and if you're delayed at Newark (normal), you can lie-flat and sleep for an hour or two).

    More passwords:

    Passwords (you need 3):

    Saturday: New York
    Monday: Dubai
    Tuesday: private security
    Wednesday: Private terminals
    Thursday: flat beds

To book phone silverjet's booking line on 0844 855 2343

Booking must be made by 29 Feb for travel in July or August.
Tickets subject to availability and are non-refundable but changeable for a fee of £100 per person per sector and any fare difference.
Both passengers must travel together and pay taxes on both tickets.

    Silverjet tickets are ATOL protected.

After the maxjet saga in December 2007, I would advise people to use a credit card.

Fares are from £1,099 and taxes £77.

I wish these airlines would fly from northern airports instead of just being in the SOuth East.
