So if you booked a date before 31 August and then changed the return leg, you would be charged 1099 initially and then have an extra charge of £200 plus the difference in fares on the return journey, so probably your outward would be 549.50 (2 for the price of 1) but your return would now be 549.50 each plus £200 change fees - would that be too expensive total (£1848.50)?

To be honest we were only going to new York because of the offer, i have wanted to fly with Silverjet for ages. We were then going to fly to San Fran, drive to Vegas then back to NY to go home, with the offer it was only £100 more expensive that the flights we originally saw with AA.

Thanks for doing the sums though... ;)

panda pants if you aren't in a rush to book see if the flight prices remain the same on the outgoing journey and then give them a ring and explain what you have put about your travel plans.

ask them if they could check with someone up the chain whether they could accommodate you on those dates using the offer as unfortunately you can't change your dates and the original price would prohibit you from using them....it's a small enough company and they may just come to a deal.

  • Just do it the whole experience with Silverjet is great.
You don't go into the usual terminal at Luton so you don't waste several hundreds of pounds in Dixons taxfree. You can't spend money on-board.
It is nearly the same price as economy but you will feel so much better at the other end.
Summer in NYC is quite hot and and a bit smelly but grab a car head out of town. Sixflags theme park is great and perfect for hot days! Only 1hr south at Jackson New Jersey.

(Honoured that Martin has picked up on this post :)

Totally agree with flyingant, business class is the way to go.

You can (almost) justify the extra expense by saying that you can take a night flight back, sleep well on the flights and able to work the next day, thereby gaining a days work, or at least saving a night's hotel cost!
