I like any stationary !!... I could spend hours in a stationary shop :rotfl: !.
Getting back to my other obsession - bags - I have been out and bought some leather cleaner... got the vaseline ready for the fake leather bags, have bought some tissue paper, and a few nice gift bags to store my favorites in!!..
Now am off to get them out from their hiding place - empty them of left over contents - maybe hoover the insides - and then clean them!!... wrap them (special ones) in tissue paper and store them!. First I need to find a wardrobe with a spare shelf on it... ..
I also love purses... share that obession too ? They are next to sort out!.:j0 -

Yep! handbags, purses, shoes, stationary, perfume & alice bands. In that order.Am sorting my bags out today too.!Love can tame the wildest0 -
Oh please don';t start on stationary...............it's an illness, it must be..........lol I could spent hours in shops just fondling the paper............how sad is that..............lol I just love it.............it has 'must have'' stamped all over it !!
Back to the bags....................yippee............asked OH if I could have a bentwood hat stand.............he said yes............didn't even ask why ? Think he's sort of given up on me...................lol
How could he refuse though. He's wanting a pine dresser for the kitchen and I've told him we'll have one .............mind you.............think the dresser will be more money than the hat stand...............lol Oh what the heck..........if it keeps my handbags tidy and in a place where I can see them so I know what and how many I've got then its got to be an ok thing to have.
(supposed to be saving money this year and here I am spending it !!!!)Mary

I would love a wall of hooks for my handbags to hang from!. A hat/coat stand would be great too.. as it is I am settling for a shelf in a wardrobe... haha - but what a neat shelf it will be!. I am jelous of your stand Mary43
I just love nice fresh notebooks... pens... files... organisers - the list is endless! - But I hate writing in a book for the first time... my writing is never as neat as it should be haha.. can't believe I admitted that!.
Sonee - what you doing with your bags today ?
I am supposed to be being sensible with money too - yet I found myself buying leather cleaner, tissue paper, and nice gift bags today!! :rotfl: . Did I really need them ???? of course I did  ....0 -
Just looked at hat stands on e bay and thinking about the prices........have now worked out that OH can make me a hat rack to fit on the wall instead.
Take up less room and I can make it as 'shabby chic' as I like........were bound to have some wood kicking around somewhere........maybe even some old pegs or hooks..............least then it'll be a freebie..................lol
stockcount - be jealous no more.............all it'll be really is a row of hooks............lol:jMary

I have a 'coat rack' thingy on the wall in my Hallway.. just wood with hooks... and quite often hang my handbags on there.. before they get put away!! I think they look great hanging there but my OH quite often asks me to move them so we can make room for our coats... So I think it will be fab Mary.. you will be able to see them all in one place.. and they wont be getting squashed.
I watched a movie last night (knocked up) and saw something very similar - the girl had an area of wall with her bags hanging up (only a few mind :rotfl: ) - looked great!.
Handbags and storage ideas are taking over my mind..
First handbag polished... many more to go :j0 -
Don't think I could cope with a whole wall of handbags...........but I can see mine grouped together on a rack of pegs.............that I can live with and they'll free up a couple of drawers in the spare room. Somewhere then for me to put all the bits and pieces for my christmas and birthday baskets...lol
No drawer stays empty for long does it...............well not in our house..........lolMary

Hi All
I was trying to find some solution myself, and have come across a couple of really good ones on ebay! You can buy over the door purse rack to hang your bags...can accomodate about 18 bags each. Could probably put them in clear plastic bag and hang, to save them from dust and scratches!
I am planning to also buy a nice 'Handbag Liner' (about 20 quids), to keep all my essentials in. Then I can just insert that in any handbag, and all my contents will transfer automatically!!
Cheers:rotfl:0 -
I'd never heard of a handbag liner, now I've looked it up, I want one! :T
