Just to clarify - is it ok to move this ISA before the current tax year ends? I thought I read something somewhere that one could not transfer current Tax year 'new money' to another provider or is this nonsense? Sounds a bit wrong to me?

You can transfer this year's ISA to another provider (providing they permit transfers in).

My belief is that you can transfer the whole years contributions in the same year but not split up a current tax years contributions until a later tax year.

i.e You can move this years Taxbeater ISA now as long as u are moving all of it, once we are into 2008/09 Tax Year you could split Taxbeater ISA up between more than one ISA provider if u wanted to.
