Hi I kept getting these leaflets through the door in anything I got from sendit.com so I decided to give it a trial of 30 days which is what it said...I got 7 days free trial :mad:then they took the monthly DD on the 25th JAN of £14.99... I say monthly...2 weeks after this they took another £14.99 ...so I put in a complaint...nothing doing...so I cancelled...they have more or least said that the 3 dvd's I have just received have to be sent back with proof of purchase ...like they intend saying they wont receive them back or say they haven't...when I cancelled they said do you really want to cancel you have 3 days to go before we take your next monthly payment...are they having a laugh...
don't bother with this company I only had 6 dvd's off them and they have took £29.98 of my money which by the way they have no intention of giving back...

I'm fairly sure you have to authorise every transaction seperatly if it's a 'purchase' so if they've put more than the initial purchase through I'd be complaining to the bank about unauthorised purchases on your card.0

Most of the time this is the case, but it is becoming more of a trend amongst companies, especially those that trade upon the web to put through purchases monthly using the same card details rather than going to the hassle and paperwork of setting up a DD. Not entirely sure what you can do, but perhaps get onto the bank and say that you did not authorise the payments of that frequency and timescale, and see if they can get it back for you.DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

I had a three month trial with lovefilm and I had no issues cancelling. They never charged me anything. As far as I know, you give them your bank details and if you don't cancel within a certain amount of time before the trial ends, they assume you want to stay on. I think somewhere you probably agreed that they can take a payment. I'm guessing it was in the Ts and Cs somewhere.0

I had no trouble cancelling my previous account with them, although they have given me 3 3 month trials (nine months in total), and I probably only paid for about six months in total."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

you should be chasing up your bank about this - if you've told them that they shouldn't be taking payments from you the bank then is as bad as lovefilms0

I spent all day yesterday complying some letter's the bank want's fax's of the cancellation emails and a letter saying that I did not authorise the payments and I have wrote a letter to lovefilms asking what the hell they are playing at...if you cancel it should mean you've cancelled...:mad:Blacksheep1979 wrote: »you should be chasing up your bank about this - if you've told them that they shouldn't be taking payments from you the bank then is as bad as lovefilms
