Can anyone help please I can't receive or send E Mail using Mozilla. I'm on NTL Broadband and I use their E mail address. When I log onto NTL I can get E mail so I don't think its down to NTL ,for once. Trouble with NTL once you've read them theyre gone.
Thanks
Thanks

Are your server settings ok. ie for incoming mail, pop.ntlworld.com and outgoing mail put in 62.253.162.40 which seems to work better than an actual name.0

Thanks outgoing server is set at smtp.ntlworld.com I can't see where it says incoming server? I've tried tools account settings.
Thanks again0 -
I use Thunderbird and once found the Automatically Download new messages was unticked and I wasn't getting any incoming mail. Don't know how it had happened but ticked the box and all was okay.0

Thanks, it wasn't ticked on mine either. I've ticked it but still no joy. I click on get mail and it says connected to NTL World, com then nothing happens. I know there's mail on the server.

I Still can't get Thunderbird to work. Can anyone help?

If you check 'tools/account settings' then the first option on the menu on the left of the box is 'server settings,' the top line of which is your pop details. The smtp settings are the last item on the menu.0

Thanks BF .It seem sto have defaulted back to my old Tiny Account. What should it say for NTL?

I don't use NTL but check http://www.chetnet.co.uk/articles/index.php?page=index_v2&id=9&c=4
and look under 'email' for the settings you need, it seems to be smtp.ntlworld.com and pop.ntlworld.com0 -
Thanks BF, the outgoing server shows smtp, but it dosen't show an incoming server.

I've been on to NTL and he's checked out my settings etc. Nothing wrong there, but E mail won't work in either Outlook or Thunderbird. The guy reckons it's my anti virus. I use Norton and I update regularly. I'm not aware of downloading anything else recently. The guy at NTL says I should uninstall and reinstall Norton but I'm not sure about that. Can anyone advise?
