We're off to Blackpool next week ( 2 adults and our 6 year old) for a few days for the first time in 30 odd years (has it changed much i wonder....?). and on the lookout for any advice, tips, do's, don'ts or discounts available for anything blackpool from eating out to having fun. got our hotel booked (boltonia - please don't tell me any horror stories!) and just trying to stretch the rest of our budget as far as possible.

any advice would be much appreciated, many thanks everyone.

Probably a bit late to get them, but your Tesco vouchers have lots of offers for Blackpool - Tower, Zoo, Pleasure Beach etc.

Taking the tram is a great way of seeing the front without freezing to death.

If your daughter likes being scared to death, take her on the Tower's 'walk of faith'.

Another place to get warm free is the big glass house in Stanley Park, near the zoo. There's also a lovely big lake for feeding the ducks.

Have lots of fun, kiss me quick hats are still a necessary accessory and eat lots of rock. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
  • The trams aren't running at present. Blackpool Borough Council are doing major works along the tram lines and busses are temporarily replacing the tram service. Consequently traffic along the prom is heavy so allow extra time for your journeys.

  • the pleasure beach is open at weekends till march and u may have seen the ads on tv telling you u can get wristbands for £16 but if you go on the blackpool pleasure beach website you can get an extra £5 off. its worth remembering this as it is cheaper to get tickets of there all year round -but you have to book them 12 hours in advance xx xx
  • Okay i know its in wrong place before i start but i need an answer asap if i apply for 4 adult wrist bands and 1 child wristband will this get me into pleasure beach if i enter 4 in adult box and 1 in child box on deals page
