Cheers for that, emailed KE about the problem so perhaps they'll reply suggesting the void cheque idea. Just curious - are they able to tell your name and address from a voided cheque?

On the subject of sainsburysbank though... bad news at the rate drop... I suppose they have less of a reason to keep rates higher given they don't sell mortgages/don't need to borrow so much from other banks. Thanks for the heads up OP!

Not according to the T&C's (section 11), although they'll provide one on request.

They should send you a certificate of savings tax paid once per year though.
