Nokia N81 or LG Viewty?

Hi,

I'd appreciate some feedback from current users of the Nokia N81 and the LG Viewty please as I am currently choosing between the two. I'm especially interested to hear how easy, or otherwise, you find internet access to be on them? I'm probably going to sign up for T Mobile Flext with Web'n'walk.

In the past I've had both Nokia and LG phones and liked both makes, but my experience was with much older models.

Any advice appreciated, thanks

OK, I was comparing the wrong phones; I should have been looking at the N95 V the Viewty.

The main difference in spec appears to be audio player or MP3 player, so it really does come down to ease of use. What do owners like or dislike about each of them?

    Thanks

  • Racy,

My advice is to steer well clear of the Nokia smart phones. The software is notoriously glitchy. My sister had one and it was a right pain - just too smart for its own good. The Viewty has much more solid ratings and is more reliable.

    Check out these reviews

    Good luck!

  • i wouldnt choose either of these phones. i work for one of the big mobile companies and know that there have been shortages with the lg. we have had so many come back faulty, there have been software issues with this handset. the same got the n95 when this was first launched over 50% of the ones we sent out came back as faulty (although this has improved now)

Thanks for the replies, it's a minefield out there!

Dean the review link was really helpful, thanks :T

Thanks bringmeshoes, so do you think the N95 is a better buy than the Viewty now? Or would a different phone altogether be better. Maybe one of the Sony Ericssons?

Any advice apreciated, I don't upgrade very often so reliability and ease of use are way more important to me than the way a phone looks.

  • i would say samsung are the most reliable at the moment...the g800 is a good one
the n95 8gb isnt too bad, its better than the 1gb one as they seem to have sorted out the software issues now

    If you want feature N95.

    looks then buy viewty.

can't get simpler than that. I have N95 and it's the best feature phone I have had to day.

No phone can match feaures of N95 even though it is almost a year old! (except N95 8GB)!
