    It will connect using WEP but not WPA, the connection seems stable now though, and a little quicker around 4000Kbs.

    Never mind Im going to do a factory reset on the router, reset the username password and encryption and see if that works...

  • Not all Wireless network adapters are compatible with WPA. That could be your problem.

    Ok now Im sorted albeit only WEP I'ma have a break for a bit (I been on this for 2 days now)
    I finally figured out that the problem was Windows wasnt able to configure the encryption on my wireless card so that it would be recognised by the router, it connected fine with no encryption but as soon as I tried to encrypt it threw a teddy.
    I ran the Atheros Client Utillity configured it and it connected first time using WEP. I now have a secure-ish network so Ima leave it for a bit before attempting to up the encryption to WPA.

    I need some caffine man.:cool:
