Things going wrong...

Its more the pressure that I'm under than the job itself. I work with nice enough people and on a good day I actually love it. I just can't take the constant pressure to sell as well as everything else going on in my life at the moment. I sort of feel in limbo a bit at the moment too as we're waiting for OHs next assessment to see wheres hes going to be based and whether I can join him there etc. I wouldn't want to commit to anything I can't keep up, or find a new job until I know where exactly I'll be. Sorry if it sounds like I'm making excuses.hiya
I was just wondering, would maybe looking at the job you are doing help? You say you hate your job, sorry is there really nothing else? Have you thought about volunteering? That could move you in direction? I used to volunteer, its so great having that little thing you do for others and for you, a new group of people, a new purpose? I really miss volunteering, i cant wait to get back to it
why not have a look and see if theres anything in your area? New horizons and all that and usually they pay expenses such as bus fare if you need to get somewhere of an evening etc.
xx
I wouldn't mind volunteering, but I don't know what I could do really. I have loads of retail experience, but its not something I enjoy, so I don't want to do that! Maybe some office work, good experience to put on my CV. How do you go about finding out where you can volunteer?

Theres loads of ideas on www.do-it.org ( i think if not google it)
Some you can jsut do for fun, i had a mate who used to do singalong and music with elderly people, I used to distribute food to the homeless and work with children in need too. I quite fancy working at the cats protection place!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
ThanksIn_Search_Of_Me wrote: »aww hugs for you....good that the doctors went well but sorry you didnt take the offer up of anti-depressants to get you through as it may have helped with the overwhelming feelings that you have but obviously your decision.
I can understand why things are getting on to of you and wonder what time, if any, you are having some fun or relaxation with? I know when I was a baby DFW I did all out money saving & it got too much very quickly...can you find a cheap hobby that you enjoy to make sure that you have some fun
Sorry about OH but I'm sure hes as sorry as you are - hopefully he can move the hotel to another date so you'll have something to look forward to then...big hugs for you & remember youre not alone in this - lots of people understand. Have you tried St Johns wort? It can help!!
I tried anti depressants a few years back and I just found they made me feel numb-I wasn't sad anymore but I wasn't capable of feeling happy either. My thinking is I don't want to mess with my brain chemicals as its not them thats playing up, its the stress thats the cause. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone apart from me. I will look into the St Johns wort though, it might be worth a try.
I don't have much in the way of hobbies-I go to the gym, but it seems like a chore recently. I just feel like sleeping instead. These couple of weeks off I'm going to find something to make me smile a bit. I love reading, but I'm not sure that counts. I was naughty and bought myself a couple of books today, I reckoned I deserved them. I'm going to dust off my library card next week I think!
