Is that an ADSL connection? (Sorry, never heard of Vista)
Can you try switching of your modem, router and PC(s). Leave them of for a minute or so and then bring them up 1 at a time, modem, then router then PC.
I'm assuming you have a router, if not then ignore that part (obviously!).0 -
Open Cmd prompt again and try "ping 69.57.136.95"
If successful try "pathping www.greasypalm.co.uk"
If that doesn't work try "pathping 69.57.136.95"
Copy results and post here.
You could also try booting to Safe Mode with Networking and see if you can access the website in that config.

" ping 69.57.136.95" pinged= only 3 pings displayed, not 4!
"pathping https://www.greasypalm .co.uk "= nothing.
"pathping 69.57.136.95" =

Ok, so you have a DNS resolution problem somewhere.
Did you try booting to Safe Mode with Networking and retrying?
Another thing you can try is to clear the DNS cache.
At the Cmd Prompt type in:
ipconfig /flushdns

Clearing cache resulted in a brief blank black window.
I couldn't get to connect to web in safe mode with networking-are you supposed to be able to ?
By the way when I now try to connect to greasypalm site I immediately get a "page cannot be displayed "0 -
when i go to msn help, it says 'configure your browser to allow cookies'
how do i do that?Nice to save.0
