    i am having same problem,i have lowered my settings but no luck.
    i wonder of OP has managed to sort the problem out?

    Just a guess, have you cleared out your temp files and history? sometimes causes hiccups on mine.

    Delete temp internet files in internet options, click on "tools" at top of browser.
    I.ve still not resolved my prob even downloaded update for internet explorer and did system restore .
    Post if you succeed.

    Sounds like a DNS issue.

    Can you go to a command prompt (Start > Run > Cmd) and then type;

    ping https://www.greasypalm.co.uk

    You should get something similar to;

    Pinging https://www.greasypalm.co.uk [69.57.136.95] with 32 bytes of data:

    Reply from 69.57.136.95: bytes=32 time=126ms TTL=48
    Reply from 69.57.136.95: bytes=32 time=125ms TTL=48
    Reply from 69.57.136.95: bytes=32 time=126ms TTL=48
    Reply from 69.57.136.95: bytes=32 time=126ms TTL=48

    Ping statistics for 69.57.136.95:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
    Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 125ms, Maximum = 126ms, Average = 125ms

    tried it with "enter" and "ok" on run program.( pinged bbc site and got replies)

    So you pinged https://www.bbc.co.uk and got replies but https://www.greasypalm.co.uk returned nothing?

    If this is correct then it sounds very much like a DNS/routing issue. What ISP are you with?
