Hello all
I've been lurking for a while, reading through all the ideas and tips on the O/S boards, and am about to buy my first house on my own and put them into practice!
Soooo, empty cupboards, bare of any food/cleaning supplies/anything at all! I'd be really grateful for your top tips of essential items for O/S living. What should I make sure I get on my first trip to the shops?
(I've decided I definately need tinned tomatoes, pasta and stardrops!)
Thanks in advance!

I would just buy what I need for the week's meals. Then the expense of all the bits and pieces like herbs n spices is spread out. YOu can end up with cupboards full of stuff you don't really need."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

You're right Paddy's Mum, but it's only a little flat I am buying, and I think it may get a little cramped with all of our stock-cupboard bits! Although maybe we could pool the Stardrops! Bought mine at lunchtime, along with some microfibre cloths (thanks Jinky67!), so am building up a little stock of things for when I get my mitts on the place! :j0
