Hope somebody can help me.
I have a VERY old Nokia phone, somebody gave me years ago,I bought a sim card to put in it which is vodafone pay as you go. I would now like to buy another phone but only want a cheap one.
Trouble is I would like to keep the sim card because I want to keep the old number and stay on pay as you go.
Is this possible or would I have to go with the new sim card and new number.
Thanxx.

Unless the phone you currently have is a brick size with a battery the size of a shoe box then you should be fine to put your sim in any phone and it will work (you will have limited service if you put it in a 3G phone).0

Thanks for that

Now then could someone explain to me what "Sim Free" means.0 -
Sim Free is when you by a phone without a Sim Card

sim free is a handset that is open to all networks not just latched on to one!

a genuine sim free phone has never been locked to any netowrk and has no branding on the phone or box other than nokias (or whoever) own
nearly all nokias can be unlocked by free code so just pick the payg model you like most on which ever network is cheapest (as they all discount different amounts) and post back here for the code0 -

No its not.
SIM Free means that it does not come with a SIM
A handset that is unlocked is open to some or all the networks0 -

The cheapest Nokia you will find on the market at the moment will probably be the Nokia 1100, its a good basic small phone will fantastic battery life approx 400 hours it states.
The carphone warehouse sell them for approx £19.99-£29.99 and you can trade in your exisiting handset for a £10.00 discount.
This phone should come unlocked to all networks and even if it doesn't it can be unlocked very easily.
