  • Well actually I visit MSE daily, get the email etc..
I am frantically using google and my phone to no avail, yet, any help is gratefully appreciated and goes toward making someone happy.

I am aware I must seem to be a right **** to some people and to be honest, I am.

That aside, it would make things really nice tomorrow if I could find a nice phone or sommethng i can jump in a cab and go and get now, along with wrapping/bows etc.

Any help turns  into :j

  • Are there any other 24hr superstores in London aside from tesco and asda?
I'm trying my best to locate them but cant.. (
  • I live 5 minutes from a 24 Hour Tesco Extra (Massively big).. however, i live in Borehamwood.. zone 6, not far from Barnet. Dunno if the train to Elstree is still running at this time of night (it goes from Kings X to Elstree in 30 mins)
  • Noone answers their phones.
Is there any kind of 24 hour directory of London?
Tescos site is absolutely rubbish, I can't locate a 24 hour store for love nor money and there's no one on the phones.

    Any lifesaving Moneysavers out there?
How do I fid a store open 24hours?
Google/118 are no help, nor the sites/stores themselves
  • I googled for you also... can't find any major store open in the capital that's open 24hrs...

Right, the only regular tesco store i found in london that's open 24hrs is :
    LONDON KENSINGTON,
    KENSINGTON,
    LONDON,
    W14 8PB
    0845 6779388

    LONDON HAMMERSMITH,
    HAMMERSMITH,
    LONDON,
    W6 7NL
    0845 6779318

    LONDON CRICKLEWOOD,
    CRICKLEWOOD,
    LONDON,
    NW2 1LZ

    That's it

right, time for sleep. My OH is a hard working nurse and she gets back from work at 8.30am tomorrow (this morning).. she's got a bag full of Molton Brown shampoos and hair treatments, plus some mini eggs and a nice card.. all bought at least a week ago.

    Good luck!
  • If all else fails show her this thread and how much you tried to get her something, even if it was at the last hour LOL.

Being a nosey so and so....and an avid constructor of stories.... Am I the only one here wondering why, if Bateman is so determined to give a gift that signals no commitment whatsoever, it is so desperately important to him to get something for her in the middle of the night no matter what the cost????? And why, when it is so important, did he leave it until now to do it? My imagination is into overdrive!

Do tell us what happened Bateman... is she your passionate mistress, holed up in your love nest that you promised a really special Valentine's Gift to but your wife intervened and you had to give the gift you'd intended for your gf to your wife instead? Is she married herself and your gift has to be something her husband (who you were expecting to prevent you from seeing her on valentine's day but has been unexpectedly called away on business) won't realise is from her lover? Is she the woman of your dreams, whom you have admired from afar for years and finally managed to get together with, a total commitophobe and you are worried about frightening her off yet she suddenly admitted that Valentine's Day was important to her? ... see what i mean about my imagination? :D

Anyway... on a more helpful note....
How about making her something Bateman? Loads of ideas for doing that on the internet. You could do a little box/basket/envleope of 'promises' things like....

I promise to massage your back with essential oils until you are totally relaxed
I promise to bring you breakfast in bed every Sunday
I promise not to hog the duvet or put my cold feet on your back
I promise to tell you how much I love you at least twice a day

Problem with that gift is that it relies on you keeping your word which sounds as if it might be a little tricky for you!;)

    :D

Well after waking too early, and coming here to kill some time before the house awakes, this thread has had me in stitches.

    Bateman is hilarious! :kisses:

I really hope he got something, as there are loads of early hours markets he can get into....what about a nice fresh mackerel?!!!

Anyway, here's wishing everyone a very happy valentines day, My inlaws arrive to visit today, so I'm off to do some dusting, or maybe I should just draw love hearts in the dust!!! Romantic, wholesome,AND non-commital wouldn't you say?:happyhear
